Title: Purchasing A Tablet
Post by: Khawner_ on May 26, 2009 11:34 PM
Ok, so I have finally got enough money to (hopefully) get myself a decent tablet. But I'm not sure which one to get. A few animators I know complain about certain ones breaking down, so obviously, I want a good tablet that will also not screw me over. So...which one should I get? My budget is a little over 300$.

buying a more expensive tablet WILL allow you to refine your skills further digitally. At a certain point, a crappy tablet is a frustrating hindrance.

I got a Grapire CTE-630, apparently they don't make these anymore since i've had it for a few years and i called the wacom call center and they don't make the pen from my brand of tablet anymore, but the pen from a bamboo fun would work exactly the same as it used to when it was brand new.

i have have a bamboo fun its nice but

originally on this computer it would automatically switch to mouse mode and it's pressure sensitity would "turn off" i guess

every 3 minutes or so of being turned on

so i'd have to replug it in and the same thing would happen, so i emailed sum guy from wacom and he linked me a new driver

so now every 3 minutes when it fucks up it stays fucked up for 5 seconds and then goes back 2 being good

God damn it, I already bought the Wacom Intuos 4 Tablet. Always gotta fucking wait to tell me this shit.
