4.0 out of 5 stars A pleasant suprise after the painful original, January 13, 2005
It took a load of convincing for me to watch Onegai Twins, being it the spin-off of one of my most loathed anime shows, Onegai Teacher. But to my surprise and pleasure Twins has almost nothing to do with the original, and was a refreshing experience.

Twins is a balanced mix of romance and comedy. Most often there will be too much of one or the other - especially romance - and the sappiness will ruin the show. But in this case I was very pleased with the way it was presented.

You won't find the usual action/peril overkill that reside in most series, this one is for those times when you're not thirsting for violence and want to see something a little bit more sensible. I'm glad I put aside my presumptions about Twins and gave it a try.

1.0 out of 5 stars If you have taste in entertainment, avoid this at all costs., January 13, 2005
I don't know how people can enjoy this show and where all the good reviews are coming from, but this show is terrible. Don't get me wrong, I love anime. And I know that one thing that comes hand in hand with anime is strange plot-lines. You learn to love them if the anime is good, because it makes you think and it's interesting. In this case I didn't buy it. Not one bit. An alien comes to Earth and gets busy with a human - so what? I never really understood the point of this series, I was just fine at Onegai Twins. But they had to go and make another one, and unfortunately the masses of anime fans who like anything with the stereotypical busty girls with lucky guys show love it just because that's what it is. For those of you looking for a real meaningful and worthwhile anime, avoid this one at all costs. It's mind-numbing.

1.0 out of 5 stars An emberassment to the legacy of Tenchi series., January 14, 2005
I've been a long-time fan of Tenchi. Muyo, Universe, Tokyo, the films Forever and Tenchi in Love. Everything. Except GXP. I don't know how this came around but there isn't one thing about it that I enjoy. Tenchi and the original cast have changed so much I can't bare to look at them anymore.
The animation is sub-par at best. The new characters are dry and pathetic. The story is lacking and stereotypical of today's anime cliche. I just can't stand it.
If you're an old school Tenchi fan, I hope you'll agree with me in that this series is unbearable. I wish they'd just let it die and GXP will come to an end soon. It hurts.

thank you noble rtil for rating this anime

I would not know what to do without these reviews
