Also Gex 64 is a wonderfully imaginative game yet the last few levels mix poor controls and camera mechanics into an aggrivating blend
that viewtiful joe game for nintendo ds was horrible

Her instant kill is pretty easy to avoid bro.
I can't think of anything that's busted my balls like that lately though. I think video games need more instant kills to keep you on your toes.

Dynamite Headdy is ridiculous. The final boss has a laser beam that covers the whole screen.
grand theft auto iv for the pc. you almost finish the bank robbery mission and then, pow, "OUT OF VIDEO MEMORY!" and you're reloading the game
Now I remember that damn bank heist mission.
Best mission in the game but the fact that you have to lose your wanted level after all then get back to the house is just insane.
playing unreal tournament online for 15 minutes was a pretty fucking frustrating experience
everybody but me was bouncing off the walls like crazy
but when it comes to actual single-player games, yeah, some of them have some really unfair moments, but instant kills really work well to keep you on your toes without being too frustrating sometimes
re4 had some of those
Also, Left 4 Dead is hella frustrating as well. Especially on Versus mode when your team is outmatched by another team that's way better than you are.

I think we can all agree Mario Party is the most unfair game in the world. I was playing against my little sister and I was killing her in all the mini games, but out of nowhere she gets 2 hidden stars in a row. Total crap.

A video game series that I found to be unfair was Fatal Frame. I've only played half-way through Fatal Frame 1 & 2, but the game is scary as hell and the most fucking frustrating and most unfair. Basically you're either trapped in an abandoned house and/or village (this one goes for the sequel) that is filled with ghosts that really REALLY want to kill you. Mind you all that this is a survival horror game, so how the hell do you fight off these things? Call the Ghostbusters? No, my friends. Your one and only weapon in this game is a camera. That's right. A camera. It's not an ordinary camera though. No, this camera has powers that can capture the energy - or whatever the fuck it is - of ghosts, or, in better terms, evil spirits. A mystical camera, you say? Why, it sounds simple enough! No, my friends, OH NO NO NO. You see, this is part of the reason why this game is fucking unfair. You see, you must obtain FILM in order to use this camera. No bullshitting. You must be stocked outta your ass of film in order to survive this game. You can, no WILL, be in the middle of a ghost fight and, all of a sudden, awwwwwww SHIT. YOU'RE OUTTA FILM. What do you do at this point? RUN LIKE A BAT OUT OF HELL. But no, it's not that simple. The people who made this game must have been some serious sexists bastards because the female(s) in these games are slow as FUCK. Good luck getting out of that room/hall, 'cause those lil' bastards won't stop chasing you! Speaking of ghosts, they pop out of nowhere, and I mean NOWHERE. You can just be walking around in a room for a few minutes 'cause you don't know why you're there and boom HOLY SHIT THERE'S A MOTHER FUCKING GHOST. And usually, if you advance far enough in the game, it won't be just one ghost. No, I ran into 4 OF THOSE FUCKERS. And, if you don't take a snapshot at the right time - the PERFECT time - it'll take forever to kill these sons of bitches. The worst part? There are some rooms you can't enter without requiring a special key/code/etc. When you do achieve that thingamabob later on in the game, you can't even remember where the fuck that room is 'cause the place acts as a fucking maze/fun house. It'll take ages, tons of film, and lots of ghosts to finally get back to that room.
Now I'm not saying this game is bad. The scare factor is outstanding. The only problem with it is that it's hard as FUCK.

I loved this game a kid.
It was probably because I suck at video games but I spent so many days trying to defeat the final boss in this game.
I just couldn't do it. I would always get to almost killing the thing then I would just lose.

Oh god Goldeneye is a travesty of mission design. It's a classic game and i really do like playing vs with my buddies but HOLY SHIT, the objectives were worthless. You were given a list of exceedingly vague tasks, with no indication of how to complete them, and then dumped in some subterranean base to fulfill them however possible. If you screwed up on an objective, the game didn't tell you. You had to go all the way through the level and THEN it would tell you you had to restart. aaaaaaaaaaaa

Don't get me wrong it's a great game it just has a really fucked difficulty curve. Like you spend an hour or so killing easy thugs then you suddenly end up in a dark room with an invisible monster that can tear your hide in two seconds.
Hard to believe some people made mods to make it more realistic and harsh.

It's a good mod, the best part being the vehicles, saves you alotta time crossing the sections. But don't do what i did which is drive into one of those freaking anomalies that lifts you up and crushes you.
