Title: Pasting Motion Guides
Post by: YungJazz on April 9, 2009 05:52 PM
Why is it that motion guides lose their function after you copy and paste them? They just become I hate having to re-assign motion guides to everything after I paste them onto a new symbol or what have you.

Is there any way I can just re-attach a motion guide to a layer without having to copy and paste all my guides to a new motion guide layer where they all should have been?

make sure you are copying the frame from the timeline and not just the guide as a drawing. if you paste the frame and the layer doesn't turn into a guide layer, it won't work and you'll have to re-do your motion guide.

Nah, this solely involves copying from the time line. They pump out a new Flash every year, somebody at Assobe's programming HQ has to have noticed this...

EDIT: Facepalm. For anybody else who noticed this, just drag the regular layer into the guide.
