What tv shows/cartoons/things would you say influence your artwork the most??
A lot of people say that my style reminds them of beavis and butthead, others say its like ed,edd n eddy (I think it has something to do with the color pallette I use), And a small minority thinks my stuff looks too "invader zim" esque.
so what about you comrade?
I'd say my style reminds me of early Egoraptor.
And by that, I mean terrible.
I only doodle a bit during school, but the wacky faces I draw are what penny arcade would look like if mike krahulik had parkinson's
dan paladin + nathaniel milburn
in junior high i tried to draw like jhonen vasquez
youre not orogonal you know
I dunno man
I started out as drawing ninja turtles as a little kid than moved onto drawing other things later on.
I started Anime then moved away from that and wound up getting alot of "your style reminds me of rtil" comments. Then I changed some more and now I get "your style looks like Dr.Seuss" comments.
Although, style-wise, I don't get my inspiration from seuss at all. I guess it's a mixture of KC Green, TimoTayo and a little bit of a bunch of others.
Idea wise it's just a bunch of music I listen to. Modest Mouse, Of Montreal, some 80s stuff.
I don't watch TV or read a bunch of comics so I don't have much else to add.
watching a lot of cartoons mostly

him and a bunch of other people i forgot
its not just him though
First time i tried anime but stopped doing that cause i lacked the basics, the fundament that keeps everything together + i only made eye sore material. Im still influenced by anime, but even so i rather focused on putting together a style of my own. Over the years i became influenced by people like Andrew Dickman and some other people who i still admire. But i gotta say that the biggest influence i still got to this date, continues to come from zekey (note my current avatar). Plus, ive been studying realism a lot as well. Also theres a drop of cartoony influence in it as well, like comic esque. And noir too. Which is how my style is currently (de)formed.
I still make eye sore, so ive said fuck it. I rarely make anything now so it really doesnt matter anymore. The end.
i get my insopiration from alvin earthweorm wonchop and foamy ^_^
Being who I am, everything influences my music, good and bad.
I've gotten a lot of ideas lately by just walking around or enjoying a breeze
I don't have a drawing style yet, so I'll have to get back to you on thaaaat.
I have no idea if you could really pin my characters down as directly inspired by a style... Probably several slapped together... The webcomic Mac Hall probably shows a little bit. But in my cartooning style, the houses are influenced by the one-story houses on Ed, Edd n' Eddy, also a little bit by The Simpsons too. And of course, you can find some Invader Zim in my stuff somewhere.
A long time ago it was krinkels, but that was more my drive to pull my work into a kinetic sense, you know, to give them definitive life. But after a while I saw Newshape\\\'s work, and his ability to pull distorted and flushed perspectives and anatomies really made me pull my work to a different and more comfortable direction.
also if you want to get really picky, resident evil and doom when I was younger
Crazy people, 1984, cigarette smoke, gears, tall buildings, cats, tall gangly people, Gorillaz, Steampunk, Cyberpunk, yadda yadda yadda

your stuff always reminded me of butch hartman (fairly odd parents etc)
My main influences are jamie hewlett, old tribal art and street art i guess. with a little bit of retro and pokemon tossed in
When I was younger, mostly anime, luckly I moved away (I sucked bad at it) and now I am mostly inspired by Todd McFarlane, mostly Spawn.
old disney and looney toons
later mike mignola, tim sale, vasquez
also
orogonal
a lot of children's books that I read as a kid inspired me along with old looney tunes that would play 24/7 on the superior 90's cartoon network. I remember being so inspired that I made a flip book at age three
other than that I'd say that i'm like inixtro; i can't call my style
I get my inspiration from shit.

Todd McFarlane. Edmonton boy. He designed the 3rd jerseys for the Oilers.

I immediately tried to shrug that comment off but see that. Though, Tywo's hairshape being similar to Timmy Turner's, which has been pointed out occasionally, was entirely coincidental. His hair used to be rougher, but after 7 years of drawing him, well...
For yours, it doesn't remind me of any styles, I immediately identify it as your own unique style.
in the beginning i followed some preston blair's work after well yeah that's it
paul ter voorde and coffeelock/arsecancer
The attitude of gorillaz is what have been influencing my art recently, quite a bit really... and ren & stimpy.
On the internet: rtil and other people you don\\\'t know.

it ain\\\'t that bad, the style in farily odd parents are like dexter but
a lot more terrible. dexter was awesome.
the style in all popular new tv shits is incredibly bad
Krinkels and Bob Clampett
by Krinkels I mean http://www.krinkels.net/index_drawings.html (http://www.krinkels.net/index_drawings.html)
nope i am 100% orogonal
all of my games are influenced from being perpetually humiliated and stressed out in grades 3 through 10
Probably at first, nothing but Nicktoons. I remember some of my earliest drawings of humans were very Hey Arnold!-ish but still pretty bland. Then Pokemon came out and I started drawing more "anime-ish". Over the last couple years alone I've been incorperating much more cartooney stuff, specifically with designs that I'll be animating so that it makes it easier. Japanese drawing styles have shown me that it's more than a little annoying when characters' eyes aren't connected by a solid line and you have to go in to put a white divider over the skin every single frame (unless they're Krillin in which case his eyes don't have any white BUT Y'KNOW).
As far as still being influenced by anime stuff art-wise, I LOVE all of Capcom's design work. How much I enjoy every single one of their games is another thing, but sometimes I'll gravitate towards a Capcom game based on the artwork and character designs alone.
i know im not original but i wish i could remember who i stole from
also music like kwwrr dvar the residents Renaldo and the loaf help me through balh blah
