Title: "Disturbing Animated Movies"

Found this bit of treasure on YouTube. Any of you guys seen any of the films shown in the vid? Discuss.

I have seen Felidae and Plague Dogs. Enjoyable films, but the animal cruelty displayed is very disturbing. One of the most memorable scenes to me - which I'm surprised that it wasn't shown in the clip - was the nightmare sequence in the middle of Felidae. If you've seen it, you know what I mean. Also 3:51 for Plague Dogs is disturbing as hell.

EDIT:

Shit I forgot to mention The Secret of NIMH. Another wonderful film with some stunning animation. The Owl scene is one of my favorites.

Everything past 3 minutes was totally fucked up. Especially the rabbits... A lot of that gore was unexpected,not much compared to super jail tho.

the part with the rabbits is from watership down. i love that movie so much. it's gotta be one of my favorite movies of all time. secret of nimh was also great

I love watership down. Once my sister walked in while I was watching it and it was the scene where the little bunny gets scooped up by the hawk, and the bunnys name was violet. My sister named her baby Violet lmao.

what's the point in making animations "disturbing" if they are animated so stiff and emotionless?
then they just kinda just hold your attention for tiny bits at a time, and the rest you're like, just holding out to see something gross happen.

PLEASE watch When the Wind Blows if you guys get the chance. We saw in our Animation History last year and it's incredible.

The End of Evangelion, regardless of it even having anything to do with Evangelion or anime in general, had some of the most fucked up stuff I've ever seen in it. Asuka freaking out at the bottom of a lake inside her Eva model and shows a split-second frame of her corpse with maggots crawling all over it sticks in my mind since the directors on the commentary pointed it out. Augh it's insane.

i remember watching that on a whim, i still havent seen the main series but it looks like a big pile of garbage

the film was only really 'good' for its crazy bits and music i guess. and i love surreal portrayals of the end of the world. but yeah even though i really don't like eva, the film had its moments.
