HISTORY
Newgrounds-based former BBS regular GrandWizard Wack E Wasim(former street beatboxer) began Useless Records with Lord Zeeb Mork. Useless Records released GhettoSide BlingFuck in 1984 with Faggotry Records. GSBF was still in its developing stages, and only credited on four of the eleven tracks, notably the uncharacteristic hardcore gangsta hip hop record "Spam Tha Place", "Fuck Buck", and "KillerDick", which first brought together LordZeebMork, Great Rapper LenkaZutaka and Wack E Wasim.
STRAIGHT OUTTA BACKALLEYS
GhettoSide BlingFuck released Straight Outta BackAlleys in 1986. With its famous opening salvo of three songs, the group reflected the rising troll of the olskoo spam sites. "Straight Outta BackAlleys" introduced the group; "Fuck tha Newgrounds" protested NG brutality and "Awesome"profiling, and "Spamma, Spamma" painted the worldview of the inner-city youth. While the group was later credited with pioneering the complex of hardcore gangsta rap.
REDMONGOOSE and DJ Wacko , as GayPoweredProductions, composed the beats for each song, with E making occasional rapping appearances. Lenka and Wasim wrote the lyrics. "Fuck tha Newgrounds", perhaps the group's most notorious song, brought them into conflict with various site enforcement agencies. Straight Outta BackAlleys was also one of the first albums to adhere to the new Parental Advisory label scheme, then in its early stages: the now-iconic label then only consisted of "WARNING: Moderate impact coarse language and/or themes". However, the taboo nature of GSBF music was the greatest part of its mass appeal. The media coverage compensated for GSBF virtual lack of airplay and their album eventually went double platinum.
One month after Straight Outta BackAlleys, Great Rapper LenkaZuka's solo debut was released. "The Greatest" was dominated by Lenka's persona - Wack E Wasim, appearing on two songs, was the only guest rapper - but behind the scenes it was a group effort. Music was handled by REDM and DJ E, and the lyrics were largely written by Lenka and Wack E Wasim, with contributions from LordZeebMork (for example some legendary fart samples). The album was another platinum success for Useless.
THE END OF GSBF
1992's "The Troll Patroll" would be the group's final album. After Wack E Wasim departure from Useless for TheSnobAlleysRow Records, in which Lenka was allegedly coerced into signing away their contracts (while however retaining a portion of their publishing rights), a bitter rivalry ensued. Wack E Wasim began the exchange with SnobAlley's first release, 1992's "My PayDay", and its accompanying video featured a character named Suck Rapper LenkaMuthaFucka who ran around desperately trying to create some great topics. The insults continued on the album of Great Rapper LenkaZutaka "The Zutaka" with "Wack E more like Suck E". Wack E Wasim responded in 1993 with songs such as Fuck (Lenka), Fuck Lenka Again, Lenka is Gay and the tracks "Real GhettoBling Fucking G's" and "L E N K A".
After the release of pioneer gangsta rapper and former GSBF member ZeebMork later officialy said that the feud between Wack E Wasim and LenkaZutaka was over and he also said perkele exactly 24284 times. The group had a long during rap career and is still one of the most influential rap groups of all time. (1983-1996)
LEGACY
Zeebmork released a self-titled solo album in the mid-1980s on an independent label, it is now out of print. The legal issues continued to delay Lenka's solo career, but he finally released Guess Who's Back in 1997 to critical acclaim and unexpected commercial success. His follow-up, 1999s Tha Masta. By the turn of the millennium, Zeeb was pursuing other business interests outside of music. Lenka signed with REDMONGOOSE's Aftermath label in 2000, with the hopes of releasing an album pairing the legendary MC with the legendary producer. But, due to creative differences, the album never materialized. Since then, Lenka has been working on a new project, tentatively-titled The Best Of The Best. While he hasn't released an official album (keeping with his enigmatic persona); Lenka has made notable guest appearances with numerous other artists like CoolDrMoney, Billy, THE RTIL, Anigen 5 and Soulja Boy and more.
