I never really liked the Jason films.

I liked the Halloween ones but I think thats because the theme was catchy and Mike Meyers killed people in severeal industrious ways.

And really if there was a movie with none of this tension bullshit, and a killer hacking his way through a crowd, it would be gret

I've seen parts of several, but I saw in entirety the third one and the one in space.  I proudly declare the one in space as the worst movie I have ever seen.

A mix of slasher films (which I don't like that much anyways) and crappy sci fi films.  The acting was amazingly terrible, and I would say the defining moment was when three or so of the main chaacters were clamoring to get into an escape pod in which a hysterical and whiny bitch was sobbing inside of.  Thinking fast, she engaged the thrusters and crashed into the side of the ship.  Not much more horrendous than the majority of slasher-acting, but it had me rolling on the floor in agony.

I don't like the slasher genre over-all, a bunch of teens find themselves in a predicament through their own stupidity and die one-by-one until the movie reaches a climatic triumph over the villain.  Its silly and its been repeated a thousand times.

btw looks gay

i kind of liked the halloween movies

not the rob zombie remake though

i kind of think its funny that in every mike meyers two things are bound to happen:

you see mike staring at someone through a window and then you see the person that hes staring at. THEN......................................you see where was standing before!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and he isnt there!!!!!!!oh shit

then at some point you see him chasing someone who is running away while he's just walking slowly yet no matter how slowly he walks he always catches up to the person sprinting away. they could probably be driving away while he was walking and he would just appear in front of the car three miles up the road

I added the ^^ as in that was me correcting dicksinthebutt's post since the majority of the reason she sees a movie is because of the actor and she does this all the time whenever someone talks about an actor or something. She also overuses the "I hate psi" and the "Im pretty cute" thing alot but uh yeahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Generic and mindless slasher movie. Why would anyone want to watch that.

The story of Voorhees might be a little interesting at some point of the story's beginning but that's all about it.

I prefer the first Nightmare on Elmstreet. At least it had a very well thought out story and plot to it.

Um Fuck You. Wow I don't even know where to begin to respond to this.

1. Actually, I love movies alot. Because of the content of them, how they make me feel, if they make me feel anything. And a majority of films I like have very UNATTRACTIVE ACTORS IN THEM. What the fuck my favorite actor is Marty Feldman HAVE YOU SEEN HIM? IS HE SEXY? NO NOT REALLY HE'S JUST REALLY FUCKING FUNNY. However, most films that come out nowadays I don't really like. I don't think I've seen more than maybe ten movies I've really enjoyed that came out after like, '97. So I figure I could at least see a movie and have something to look at. Excuse me for being a fucking 18 year old girl.
2. I don't really hate psi and he knows that. Are you fucking retarded. We make fun of each other it's just what we do.
3. I am cute, bitch.

So here's some suggestions  Stop acting like you fucking know me so well. Stop being nice to me when I'm in irc or on skype or aim or something and then talking shit about me when you think I won't read it. If you don't like reading my posts then DON'T. FUCKING. READ. THEM. Jesus christ is it that hard?

I think taylor is a piece of shit and all his posts are basically the same so I stopped reading them. Problem solved!!!

Saying shit about me and going "^^ This" all the time when someone else says shit about me doesn't make you any fucking cooler.

You can say whatever shit about me you want but at least I don't try to act like a hardass on the internet. I always act like myself and if you don't like it then don't talk to me. Okay?

Thanks in Advance

yeah.
I like those moments when they try to show how the kid became fucked up enough to become a psychopath and stuff like that, but in slasher movies, these scenes are pretty rare lmao

Now that I have had a few minutes to calm down I will revise my earlier response to this thread:

I hate remakes of horror movies because you already know what's going to happen and they're not even scary anymore. I want to see something new and original. Something that actually makes me jump or scream or feel anxious. Unfortunately this movie doesn't look like it will be an exception :(

For me the most interesting about Jason is that he can\\\'t die. I am rather sure that the secret as of why he can not die hasn\\\'t been lifted yet (besides in the Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash comic book, which says that his mother read to Jason from the Necronomicon or something like that).
I believe that this movie will give us clarification about that matter though.

All in all, I am still not a very big slasher, or Jason fan for that matter. I just happen to know these things from friends.

That is true. The only movie that makes me feel like that are the Hostal (even though they\\\'ve been going downhill ever since the first movie) movies and the Saw movies, especially the most recent one. I haven\\\'t fully seen it, but the end where this one drug addict had his hand split in two, looked amazing.

i think japanese make good horror films. the other day i saw a japanese film called "The Curse" which is about a filmmaker that shoots a documentary about japanese spirits and their communication with the living, and then dies after his documentary is completed. it's obviously a "mockumentary" but it's generally pretty terrifying. it's a shame that american adaptations of japanese scary movies suck so much

The first of the Saw movies was great imo, then it sorta went downhill in my opinion
it started focusing more and more on the gore, while the first one had a very interesting setting and had some good psychological horror
I'm just saying that cuz I'm not a fan of movies like Hostel, though

A great psychological thriller.  Like how the first Silence of the Lambs movies was great.  Not exactly on the same level but still both worked to the same disturbing build-ups of tension and twisting plots.

I never saw Silence of the Lambs (<- it's on my list), but I thought Red Dragon was good.

silence of the lambs isn\\\'t scary anymore but it\\\'s still a good film

which in turn i think makes it a good horror/thriller as it has stood the test of time

Jared's acting is cool I guess, at least in Supernatural.
