Technocracy (bureaucratic), a governmental or organizational system where decision makers are selected based upon how highly skilled and qualified they are, rather than how much political capital they hold. A form of government in which scientists and technical experts are in control; "technocracy is described as that society in which those who govern justify themselves by appeal to technical experts who justify themselves by appeal to scientific forms of knowledge"
your thoughts? personally i'd support it, however if scientists and engineers started governing, they'd have less time for research
double edged sword i guess

Yes, because I really want Geek Squad at the head of the Board of Education.
Wait a sec, this is how democracy is supposed to work, those who are qualified for the job gain control. How is someone who is an expert at chemistry more qualified to lead a community than someone with experience in such a field?
Aren't such experts hired as advisors, and used on a as-needed basis?

The board of education is fucking ridiculous. I swear to god it's run by monkeys who are ten times more intelligent than us because they never had to go through an American public school system.
FreekC, in theory it sounds nice, but you know that how much money someone has is always going to hold precedence over smarts. If that's what you meant by capital.
If that's not what you meant then still.
I don't know how that would work out.
hell fucking no
