how to connect using mIRC:
1. type /server irc.rizon.net and hit "enter"
2. to pick a name, type /nick yourname
3. it's recommended to register your name so no one can take it. type /ns register password e-mail. activate it and use /ns identify password to identify yourself when you logon
4. type /join #thebackalleys to come in the channel!

It has to do with their AntiVirus provider, Norton is known to disconnect them from the internet as a precaution for the fake "keylogger" that the exploit triggers.

Well, it turns out the ban is for 3 days, so I'll not be on the server until the ban is lifted. I was mainly hoping to see at least 100 users disconnect at once cause of the exploit, but alas, it's a banable offence.
i was banned for 3 days for 'hammering' w/ nicks. i really was just refreshing the java applet on my page. i was able to talk my way out of it on their forums though. i doubt you'd be as lucky though since yours wasn't a mistake haha
