Brawl, and Mario Kart Wii so it's not like they've completely failed their longtime customers. As for the "no good games coming out anytime soon" comment, Nintendo hasn't released it's E3 2008 plans yet so many gamers may be surprised this E3 and if Nintendo completely fucks up this year when it comes to good games released, that's because all their major franchises all released games within such a short period of time after the launch where with systems like the N64 and GCN, it took years for Nintendo to release games of all their major franchises.

I got Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on DS. And personally i find it tiring to play with the stylus pen. Obviously all FPS games like this seem hard to control. Oh well, im still waiting for Kirby Superstar to come out. That will definitely be fun. I wouldnt say DS is bad. Just dont underestimate its capacity nor capability.

i don't know the people that you know. the people that i know neglect to get jobs, go to school or do anything and instead continue to live in their parent's homes to play world of warcraft. they neglected all their obligations and now they don't have any and that makes them comfortable. many of them have admitted to me the game really isn't fun at all, and that the entire process is just a grind - but they do it to avoid any real work in real life.

WoW is shit, if anything I would categorize it as an IM service on steroids than an actual game. It works okay, it has few glitches, but it has no substance to it, everything is tedious and lame, and there isn't even a good story to follow; you just randomly do lame quests for lame characters that just stand there. None of the NPCs you meet have any soul or charm to them whatsoever, they are just 3D models that wiggle about. In comparison, I painstakingly try to avoid casualties when playing games like Red Alert 2 because the individual units have so much character delivered to you just because of the voice acting.
I like much of the lore behind Warcraft, such as the trolls of Zul'Aman and the Orc/Draenei conflict, but these are things that are either played out all wrong or just downplayed to a point where it isn't interesting anymore.
Could have been worse, though, they could have made Stars of Starcraft.

i don't know the people that you know. the people that i know neglect to get jobs, go to school or do anything and instead continue to live in their parent's homes to play world of warcraft. they neglected all their obligations and now they don't have any and that makes them comfortable. many of them have admitted to me the game really isn't fun at all, and that the entire process is just a grind - but they do it to avoid any real work in real life.
if i wanted to say "video games are gay" i would have said it already.

We don't even know what Nintendo plans to do this year. Let's just wait and see. For all we know, there might be an F-Zero sequel, a Pikmin sequel, and a sequel to Animal Crossing this fall. So far, I'm pleased with the library but I'll admit SSB:B got way too much hype and didn't fully succeed. As for the GCN releasing everything at once, now that I think of it, you're actually kind of right. >_>

uh I haven't checked this thread in awhile but earlier I said gamecube was the worst out of xbox and ps2, but that doesn't mean I don't love my gamecube. :(
ps2 had so many better games in my opinion.
Though the gamecube wasn't horrible, I'd rather own it than something that will break a week after I buy it like the xbox(which for some reason totally slipped my mind)
Right now I think PS3 is mostly the promise of the new metal gear, final fantasy, and maybe a few shitty sports games.
xbox 360 has a good selection, but it seems to be much like the previous xbox in the way that it dies way too fast. You can buy any 360 game worth playing for the PC anyway and it's ALWAYS better on the PC.
I always loved nintendo, and with the game cube it was like they weren't trying so much for graphics as they were gameplay and being affordable, but now with the wii they aren't trying for graphics or gameplay so I dunno.. I bought a wii anyway.

i wish they would release fable 2 for the ps3 because my 360 malfunctions all the time
whenever i play dead rising it tells me that i dont have my hard drive inserted in to the console
and it cant read my original xbox games without freezing up
and it scratches all my disks and it makes a bunch of noise and it overheats and when i put a fan on it it makes more noise and it still overheats and scratches up my disks

Zekey, you win the debate. Nintendo's E3 2008 sucked. The only announced game by them that interests me is Animal Crossing but for online play, they have a shitty alternative for a headset.
