Title: Why do spambots ALWAYS have smileys in their topic titles?

It's just creepy. WHY? Is there some reason or is it just some weird fluke?

they're more than likely all being sent from no more than 2 or 3 large organizations, and their bots probably have some standard to select that smiley in all their posts for one reason or another.

all i know is that he was using proxies, and lots of them. most likely he was operating on privoxy/tor. i'm surprised someone that stupid knows how to use that software, or even knows proxies exist for that matter

it's browsing the internet through a different computer's ip address, what some would like to call 'anonymous' internet browsing, though you can usually be traced back anyway.
