I agree on the harsh thing, but like I said before, there's always gonna be somebody out there who doesn't like you no matter who you are or what you do. Trying to change their mind or even argue on the matter only makes it worse. I for one think the podcasting thing's a good idea, and since it's just started, it leaves more room to interview other great artists ya know? I kinda enjoy things like Rina-chan's podcasting and Anigen's Skype chats. They're just kinda fun ya know?

I don't mind your podcast, I think its awesome. You should interview some people that aren't up-and-coming. Get some stuff on the e-politics of the flash scene.

Heck, I'm starting an e-war with them all, interview me. I have tons of complaints about the way the NG site works, and maybe if my complaints are legit, getting people motivated to maybe get to changing it for the NG community. If not, its gonna be a revolution. If I could spend even a minute to convince you to interview me, on some of the cool stuff we're doing.

It might be a good idea to hear the other side of the story.

The purpose of MGA was to tell jokes and I don't need to make sure every frame is a Matisse in order to do that effectively unless it was part of the joke. Had I been working on something where the focus was the visuals being incredible of course I'd put a lot of time into it.

The advertisement I chose is from a mid-April copy of LA Weekly. It advertises "Natural Beauty," a Beverly Hills cosmetic surgery group which performs various sorts of plastic surgery. The advertisement's has a very specific target demographic: upper class females. To attract the female eye, the ad uses design features such as a pink color scheme and ornamental lettering. The primary subject of the ad is a nude woman, crouched with her head resting on her arm and leg, obscuring her private parts and face and emphasizing the contours of her body. Her slender figure represents a hyper-idealized form of beauty, one which the advertiser hopes to "sell" to women in the form of plastic surgery. This idealized feminine beauty is emphasized by the opaque imagery of pink flowers which overlay the female form and the airbrushed look of the woman's arms and legs which give her a plastic quality. In addition to this feminine allure, the ad is also associated with the upper class. The use of words such as "fine art" and "quality" as well as the group's location in Beverly Hills alludes to the ad's wealthy target demographic. The laughable suggestion that plastic surgery can be "affordable" would only be attractive to an audience that could, in fact, afford such an extravagant and unnecessary expense. In addition, the female figure presented in the ad appears elegant, upper class, and white. This advertisement relies on convincing an upper class white female reader that ideal, natural beauty is a product which can be bought and sold, the irony being that the "beauty" presented in the ad and attained through plastic surgery is not natural at all, but entirely artificial.
The primary way this ad functions is by presenting the American aesthetic ideal of a white woman as "perfect" and "natural" in order to market it as a commodity. The ad relies on making average looking women feel inferior by presenting them with a vision of something they are not, then convincing them to purchase a surgery that will physically alter their own appearance to more closely fit that idealized vision. The woman in the photograph is young, nude, and skinny. She is the conventional view of a sexually attractive female. As Mulvey would put it, she exists in the ad only as an object "to-be-looked-at," and that goes for both male and female readers. The signifier is the serene imagery of the ad, including the feminine color, fancy font and the photograph of the female. The signified is plastic surgery and the supposed beauty that readers can attain through it. However, there is a stark contrast between the referent and the signified, which makes the ad very ironic. The ad's air of elegance and serenity is offset by the grisly reality of cosmetic surgery. The bloody details and potentially dangerous complications from procedures such as the ones described in the ad are glossed over and forgotten in the representation of a "perfect self" the reader should strive for. The title "natural beauty" is a misnomer because the product being advertised, plastic surgery, is a distinctly unnatural way of achieving beauty. Cosmetic changes such as "breast augmentation" often do not appear "natural" at all, but instead hopelessly artificial and even unattractive. The photo of the woman is not natural either, as it appears to have been altered greatly by a computer program with tools like airbrushing and overlays. Even the idea of beauty that is presented by the ad is artificial. The advertisers treat the vision of sexual attractiveness they present as objective, portraying the woman as being naturally beautiful like a flower, when in fact "natural beauty" is subjective and based on more than just surface value and sexuality.
   This advertisement is meant to idealize female beauty in order to make money off the perceived physical inadequacies of its readers. While the ad has a pleasant and soothing outer appearance, its underlying goals are to sell this look of "natural" yet unattainable beauty to those who do not possess it. Thus, the ad's flowery elegance glosses over the negatives of the cosmetic procedures it advertises, and the ad's claims of "natural beauty" contrast the overall artificiality of its vision of beauty and that which cosmetic surgery actually produces.

On the other hand when I finally get started on a project I care about having good visuals, having really great direction and storytelling and characters and conflicts I'll give you a buzz if you want me to because from what I can see you seriously don't think I'm capable of anything more than taking a dump into my tower and calling it art. You have one fucked up view of me and I can't imagine any of it is very grounded on much else other than your psychotic delusions of grandeur and your unfaltering desire to look like one cool dude man.

They want sprite movies, parodies, just because their own original characters never took off.

I've never seen such a blatant way of selling off a copyrighted character. Oh totally original style, I mean, just quickly scribble and AH! it's a masterpiece. We'll put it on the fridge next to LF's special FF extravanganza! How cheap do you have to be to CONTINUE to keep using copyrighted characters. Hell I stopped wayy early when I first joined up, decided to *gasp* learn how to animate a bit! Even though gasp... I had over 100,000+ views, on the first submission. oh my!

But you've taken the quick road. You'll find your legacy is just poor simple poorly drawn animations. Because they like it and you keep feeding the squirrels. You're done man, you'll be riding with Foamy, hey he's made some bank on those shirts though phew. Make some room for LF, Waterman, and several other played out overdone fads. If you wanna prove me wrong, work on the animation of your dreams first, keep the awesome on the side, just do something else. You keep up the awesome series, you'll get stuck with it. And it gets really hard to break away.

Again and again, more and more, not even any visage of difference between characters. A few original sprawled here and there. But hey its cool man. Can't say I'm surprised in a site that regularly sells unhappy faces. Oh so original. Oh but its intentional! but only when its convenient hahaha. Yea.

Anyone could create an awesome cartoon, its been done before. But those long hours are really tightening up the back ... oooh man.... Animating sure is hard... mmm! I shall just animate poorly about my adventures in the world of gaming. Let's all sit by the campfire and here how a character gets in a messy predicament.

Please for god's sake create another 10 seconds of poorly drawn video game parody, it would totally be awesome. No no, draw all your favorite video game characters, and just brag about the potential you have. Unless you're actually doing it, don't brag bud. I wanna see some stuff from you, I see that crazy look in your eyes, work on something crazy, make it good, and shut me up.

Oh and I can have my voice actors do whatever the fuck I want. They can voice over the animation, hell they can improv it. Oh my the poor voice actor NOOO... But that shall ruin the state of how voice acting should be done! It's wrong whooooooo.
