organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful." and if information encompasses the personal and private lives of individuals (which it apparently does), this puts google in the position of having a digital monopoly over the rights of your information, and the ability to sell it to 3rd parties. their information privacy policy clearly states that their assets (digital information) can be sold and all you would get was a notice that it was being sold if it belonged to you.
for now, it will be interesting to see how it develops. one thing a user should have the right to is the ability to remove their personal information from a site like google health. if that can't be done, then google is a greedy corporation only interested in a digital takeover and hording the world's data for itself. they have already gone against their "do no evil" policy quite enough times, but they're approaching the breaking point. i wouldn't be surprised if they cross it, it's time people stop photoshopping pictures of bill gates as hitler and start doing it to larry page. google is the new digital threat. they have a lot of power they do not need and if you can't see that you are blind.

I think google wants to make all these informations accessible for doctors etc. spread over the whole world, not for everyone. Just people who would have the right to see them but would have to call people to get the information/ask for the file and wait for it to be sent.

the information isn't readily available to doctors, it's meant to be a database accessible to yourself, google's subsidiaries and google's partners. doctor's aren't going to be able to sign on to google health and check your medical records. if google waits for you to submit the records , that's fine, but from my knowledge they're just throwing everything they have up there, and since they were originally a medical company they already have a lot of sensitive data that should only be available to its rightful owner.
I think they're getting bored now. I still don't see why people should give them their medical records unless they were affilated with the medical company mentioned before. Google Maps was fun, but this is getting a bit out of hand. Either way, it's not like you can't choose not to give them...
