This is the kind of thing I can only hope I'll be creating in the future.

Nice, but I wanted to know what said "poem" read... Or maybe I just didn't get the animation too well and I just thought it was based around that poem...

I thought it was really cool.

I'm completely confused about how he made those 3dish effects while still making it looks like a traditionally drawn piece though.

in real life tweening

Actually I think that's an old Walt Disney technique, slide the drawings out when they are under the capture station and stuff. Not sure though

Walt didn't create the technique, but I think his studio was the first to do it. I could be wrong though.

Anyway, what I understood from this was that the poem was a MacGuffin that serves as a catalyst. The guy dreamed up this girl as a way to force himself to deal with his social insecurities. She is the "bitter medicine," the harsh aspect of his own consciousness talking him down and forcing him out of his shell. By the end of the short, he's realized, through her ranting, that he needs to throw off his sweater and get out in the game.

Ah... So the reason why he had a cut in the end is because she wasn't real and he probably threw down the mirror?
It makes alot more sense now

I thought this was pretty clear. Anyway, this thing obviously is for certain tastes and not everyone will like it, but I did!
