Sup? My name (well, internet alias) is YungJazz. I'm relatively new to the animation game on Newgrounds, and trying to break down racial walls with my content. My last movie project was called NightGun (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/409457), it got me a bit of attention, I know 30,000 views is nothing to some animators, even the 70,000 Magic Crack Rocks got me. Still aiming for NG's top 10. I just released a short Epilogue (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/423467) too.
Grew up in Detroit, Mi, been an artist my whole life. My style unintentionally resembles anime, which I very rarely watch. However, some with a good story like Cowboy Bebop and lots of sweet animation like Afro Samurai inspires me a lot. I just like having lots of detail in my movies, so it comes out moving like anime, but I'm working on turning it up a notch with the frame-by-frame since I hate watered-down drawings. It's a habit.
Anyways, rtil's one of the five or so NG animators I look up to as far as movies go, so thought I'd check out the site.

and to FGSpace & FreekC by racial walls I mean the normal black stuff on NG is something involving drugs or gangsterism, but I want to make a racially diverse series (with all races though, which I'm working into the true story of NightGun) that goes past that type of thing to something more sophisticated. I know I'm not the first minority animator heh

The bulk of noticeable black cartoons that end up on Newgrounds are crap that ends up in the Ghetto Collection (http://www.newgrounds.com/collection/ghetto) because ma people want to "keep it gangsta". Me and my partner, Coldreaver (http://coldreaver.newgrounds.com), are making cartoons with black characters in more of a sci-fi action setting, something that's either A. Undone on Newgrounds or B. Didn't stand out enough to make it to the top spot. It's not walls that people have made for us, it's ones most of us chose to keep because of the gang culture. Simple as that. We're shooting it down.
That aren't really walls, it's just that it's easier to give someone a light skin color instead of a negro skin color. For me it's that, at least. Also, check out bug's "Blackhead", you will probably enjoy it. It's a comedy flash with a black guy, very interesting and well animated. Even if you'd make your sci-fi flash with negroes, no one would really notice anything because they don't look at the skin color of the main characters, they look at the animation, storyline and fartjokes (on newgrounds at least).

LOL well If it's hard for you to put dark skin on a character, I'm assuming you probably don't have many friends of other races, so hey, do what's easy for you. But I'm sure that a look through the reviews I get will be a good answer for your statement about NG not caring about skin color lol. There were tons more nasty ones that were deleted though. so that's good at least. And no, I didn't like Blackhead at all, thanks for suggesting, though. I doubt any black people liked that cartoon.

I stopped coming because I got the sense that some of the people on this site don't seem to like me all that well, and really, that's fine, I still like this site and really won't stop coming because of that. Real talk, I agree. Accept for one thing, if it's not the use of the word nigga that gets on my nerves, it's when people send spam into NG using racial slurs to get attention. One of my best friends is white and I really don't care if he says it, he's like a part of my fam and I know I could trust him to never use it in a derrogatory way.

While most black artists on NG choose to make either drug comedy like Orlando's joint, or some gangster shit, I'm chosing to waalk through the door of sci-fi and martial arts. An almost completely untapped genre for black flash animators. There's no denying that at all, even for you who has chosen to look away because it's not something you will ever have to deal with.
There were a few before me, of course, but they really weren't all that good (except for maybe Taishi), and generally, action flashes (even made by black animators) tend to be about white and asian people. It's just that simple, if you're too stupid to see that, or are just choosing to pretend it doesn't exist like I've suspected that this has been about from the very beginning, that's you. Eat a dick.

That's why he's trying so hard to prevent whistleblowers from reporting that there's a lot of daylight between his views and mine. YungJazz believes that "metanarratives" are the root of tyranny, lawlessness, overpopulation, racial hatred, world hunger, disease, and rank stupidity while I warrant that he prefers defamation to dialogue. Please re-read and memorize that sentence if you still believe that university professors must conform their theses and conclusions to YungJazz's nasty, footling prejudices if they want to publish papers and advance their careers.
YungJazz is not interested in what is true and what is false or in what is good and what is evil. In fact, those distinctions have no meaning to him whatsoever. The only thing that has any meaning to YungJazz is solipsism. Why? To help answer that question I will offer a single anecdote. A few weeks ago, I overheard some diabolic meathead tell everyone who passed by that we have too much freedom. During the early 90's you barely heard the term "hip hop". Yep NWA was considered Gansta rap. Gansta rap was perhaps the pinnacle of rap. It was in your face. Fucked with teh system. Albeit made women seem like shit - something I disliked about it. It seemed that once Ez E died, the corporations ceased on the moment and took it over, made it theirs and packaged it. They plopped a name on it (Hip Hop) and voila a pussy form or gangsta rap was born...Hip hop. Meh that was my observation at the time anyways. People have argued this til the cows come home. But I don't think good rap is ever going to come back. :(
