The lines are sooooooooo scratchy. Sketchy is fine, it's a style, and it's fun, but this is scratchy and messy. Try to use less lines! Also it looks like a pretty typical "I'll learn by drawing anime," picture. Here's a tip, don't start with anime. Anime is fine if it's what you want to draw, but learn how to draw properly first. This isn't THAT anime-ish, but you can see the influence, and also I'm assuming your a beginner, so you won't match exactly your inspiration anyway.

I didnt thought anyone would see the anime influence in this, or maybe im just high xD I stopped importing from anime a long time ago though, these are stuffs that i did last year. Im still influenced, but not in a so feverish way like i was in the beginning. I got more in my sleeves just hold on xP Anyways thanks a lot!

i might sound harsh here but i'm really trying to help. anyway, your style is similar to a popular negative term in art called "chicken stratch." chicken scratching is where there are about 500 lines where there could be 1. you're going over the same line for no reason, or filling in things that need not be filled (like the hair in your "i am what i am" pic.) granted, there are styles that exist where shaky and excessive linework exist, but i feel like you have not reached that point yet. because of the simple nature of your drawings, the heavy linework isn't mixing well in terms of consistency. every line should have purpose and direction. right now i'm just getting the sense of you scribbling back and forth with not a lot of thought. my suggestion to you is to try to focus more on linework, and getting the right marks down the first time.

Have you taken any art classes, or flipped through some books (not How to Draw Anime by Some Yank)? They can be really useful for fully getting a good grip of elements of design, and just artisitic principles in general.

Youre good at observing. Youre right, i do fill in the lines multiple times. I made that a habit cause:
1) my scanner fails to recognize all lines that are drawn lightly
2) i always draw with a mouse when im on ms paint, and i get the urge to fill in the thin lines that dont come out straight or right (its hard to do straight lines with a mouse)
Thank you for the advices, theyre really helpful. Youre giving me ideas on how to develop my style further. Yeah in the harsh way, but hey that might be the proper way xP

Yes i do have a book about freehand drawing. It shows 3D modelling, anatomical perspectives, proportion guides etc. Ive been basically following the proportions and learned some things here and there from human anatomy. So yeah i dropped the anime subject a long time ago cause i realized at that time that i was only screwing around hopelessly. It happens that i mix it with my other drawing stuffs. But im still workin on doing real life stuffs as well. Ill get to it xP

Hehe thanks! Well having skills is something that you gotta work for. I got a pretty embarrassing past that i dont wish to reveal, but only by practicing i got better. My advice to you would be that you should jump right in to it and just draw. Then keep practicing with your hand, and also use your creativity. After that, start learning drawing basics. One step at a time

Well what he did to me still remains, and im not letting it off the hook just cause the SS dont care. And ive never talked about killing him either, i just want him to suffer, or at least i wanna retaliate and thats what im gonna figure out how to do it.
And no, i havent been into SS very much. But hell, im just being myself. If the guys at the SS think that im being naive or dumb or whatsoever just cause i like to use xP, then theres nothing i can do about it, except for drastically changing my personality which i cant. Then the feets back on the ground again, i offered him doubled pay from last request. But it obviously wasnt enough for him and he did it off with a gay excuse. After describing my request, he started ignoring me. Thats when he started getting on my nerves, because he left me confused without an answer. I was starting to get ticked off when he ignored me so i hit him up straight questioning why the hell he was like that to me, and all he could say was "meh, i dunno right now" like a retard. I asked him one more time why he didnt give me an answer instead of having me waiting. "I don't know :/ ", was the only thing he replied with. Minutes after, he went off just like that. I realized that it had to be the most fucking gayest convo ive ever had with someone, and that had to be with Wonchop. My eyes had opened up after that event. Now i hate that dickhead. Never again. Now i wish to beat the monkey, especially so that he can feel it.

I can tell the guy talking was suposed to be Luis at least. Have you seen real pics of Luis though? His human form has a less round face. He actually looks his age. And his chin sort of slopes down to a rounded out point thingy. He's also very dark haha.

Thank you! I try not to use drumloops so much, cause thatd be unoriginal of me. But the bass, beat and the drums are made by me.
The second track is my favorite though. It was more well pulled off than the rest of my stuffs. More custom made than using existing drumloops. So yeah, Ill upload some few more later.

i think sketchy lines look better in some cases
^ they do only if the person knows what they're doing and is confident in their linework. hammi, what you are doing is kind of similar to the concept of "chicken scratches", where you draw a bunch of lines where there should only be one or two. once you have a sketch like that, you should go over it again and move your hand more freely

Its just that, whenever i use a program similar to ms paint, my lines get shaky and ugly and i feel like i gotta cover it over. Its almost like a paranoia-esque thing when i draw with thin lines, that i tend to make it sketchy. I remember you advising me against chicken scratching since i started here. I still try drawing clean outlines though. I need more practice, and ill keep following up the advices. Thanks for the feedbacks.

Shading and front view practices. Plus a random doodle of a scooby-doo-esque cartoon dog right next to it. Right now the whole thing looks pretty awkward to me. My guess would be their faces. Their shapes. And the way the eyes are placed. And err i know, the shadings suck dick.
And please look away from the obvious point in this image that this guy is me posing shirtless. I like to extend the anatomic possibilities and i go on adding the details for the hell of it just to keep the image occupied as much as possible.

guy on top right - missing huge chunk of his upper skull . try drawing the shape of the skull before putting hair on.
guy in the middle - facial features get smaller as we travel down the face. i also think the eye shapes you are using in general are very generic anime style and they're not really fitting with your style. i would recommend experimenting with different eye shapes. use real life for reference as your style is more geared towards realism imo.
guy on bottom left - the strongest of the group. i'd avoid using a solid line for the nose , but since you didn't do any tones i'll forgive it. the eyes still are the weakest part here as well.

overall, i would recommend to get reference pictures of skulls. either draw on top of them or re-draw the skulls , add a layer, lighten the skull layer and draw head shapes over them with flesh features. i think it will help you with facial and head structure a lot.

Yeah im gonna work harder on those details. Still clueless like a numbskull about layers though. All i know is that you paste stuffs up on each others and the top one has the authority to remove/add lines where ever it wants even if the lines dont belong to that layer.

Its actually digital. I use a program that uses realistic pencil settings, i love it. If youre interested, go get Sketchbook Pro. And yes it is very comfy to use.
As for traditional, i used pencils like HB and 2B. Thats it i think. Its been a while since i used graphite.
