i actually quite like tim frommeyer his style is something different and even though his proportions kind of suck balls at least he knows how to animate
He's ok, he's German like me which really bugs me because he's so successful and I am not.
His style is a typical German ringbook drawing style, 80% of the German kids in school use that style.

he really needs to learn proportions and perspective and apply it to his style a little more. people will often say 'that doesn't need to apply in the cartoon world', but i look at his characters while they are being animated and they change shapes and sizes a lot. i also wish for once he would tell a coherent story instead of making faux acid trip cartoons like LSD, but then again he's one of the few that does make cartoons like that. his life, not mine anyway. apparently he's totally messed up so that's probably why he makes them. he always talks about how horrible his life is on his NG news thing

well a long time ago his house burned down and he lost everything. ever since then i think things have been pretty hard for him. i doubt that's the source of all his problems though

well tbh i don't think kingdavid knew about that. the guy has enough personal issues as it is and the fact he still has the motivation to animate these days is incredible. plus he did that cell phone commission

I've only seen a few flashes by him but his work seems pretty different. His Bytezise submissions are a bit messed up though. I wonder why he at one point deleted all of his NG blog entries.

I chat with Tim alot, and I actually met him not too long before his house burned down. like a month before. i lived about 40 minutes away, and i was going to a concert near him anyway, so we met and drank a bit. at the time, i wouldnt have said he was fucked up per se, but he was depressed alot and smoked alot of weed, hah. ALOT of weed.
as for his story telling, well i personally enjoy incoherence a whole lot. i mean like just as much as coherent stuff. and i don't always enjoy his work. his style is awsome, but HE NEEDS TO LEARN THAT LEGS AREN'T MADE OUT OF PAPER!
the big thing he does that bugs me is he reuses stuff from his previous work over and over again. it makes me sad.
now he is more fucked up than he was before, he losts thousands and thousands of dollars when his house burned, and apparently the insurance wasn't so great. he doesnt have a wife either. he's "engaged" but its more symbolic. i dont think he's even gotten her a ring yet. well he cant afford one really. he's only 18.
anyway he's a good guy, i like his style and he actually does do shit from time to time, so good on him. i dont like his emo posts though.
