I thought it was neat for a while. The colouring/lighting was cool to an extent. In the end though, it just descended into typical anime boringness. At least it was decent for a while though.

It's got a solid plot, good character development, crazy twists n' turns, and the last 2 episodes i shit bricks in awe.
I couldn't get out of my seat to take a piss or anything, my ass melted to the chair, because my ass was like HOLY FUCK THIS IS GOOD!
But yeah, it's good.
And btw i love that opening.
It conveys the craziness at the end of the series.
And i disagree with people who think it was "good" then went "downhill"

finished watching it today. it's not 50 episodes like you said anigen, it stops at 37. and thank god because my eyes were starting to hurt. anyway , i loved and hated the ending for different reasons that would spoil the entire series but it's definitely the best anime series i've seen in a loooooong time. i was starting to get worried around the 20th episode but it got better after that. still, there are some parts of the show that are way too easy to make fun of, like the chip eating, "just as planned" and "sakujo". but those have all been butchered by 4chan so i will most likely never mention them again
I don't know whether you guys are joking or what, but I honestly loved Dragonball and Dragonball Z. I can't watch it anymore mind you, but as far as stiff anime goes, it never bothered me the way other shit that made it to our shores did.

Dragon Ball Zs american opening alone makes it the greatest anime series ever.
Deathnote? Damn good animators (Though it doesn't move much...), and the over-dramatized little mind games the characters play with each other are really amusing. Gets kinda ghey at times though (like this one scene right before L dies when he gives Light a foot massage) but I like how everything flows.
And I miss DBZ, the long ass fights annoyed me to no end, but I liked how cheesy and testosterone-driven it was. I miss 90's shit like that a lot, I hate cartoons where the boys are all girly acting. If it's a cartoon about boys, make it manly, if it's a cartoon about girls, make it femme fatale, that cross-gender shit annoys the hell out of me.

Yeah I liked Dragonball more than DBZ. Dragonball was more fun and carefree and less "oh i must power up and save the world".
I'll never be able to say I didn't like DBZ because it had such a huge impact on my childhood, probably more so than pokemon and I still have like 3k+ fucken Cards in a U-haul box. But DBZ kind of got me into drawing so um!!
But looking at DBZ now I don't like it really. It's just too silly and gay for me. Dragonball is still fun though. Also I showed my brother Thief and the Cobbler, he even likes Richard Williams, but he's just too stuck in his anime faggotry. Whatever I can't be bothered worrying about his opinions since he's too close-minded.
I enjoyed them both. But Z now bores me because I know what's going to happen, and the animation doesn't thrill me in any way.
Paprika was great, but it's not even the best anime, let alone better than every western animation. And besides, why compare them anyway? They're completely different.
