i spent way too long rearranging this
I wish I knew my top 25 to be quite honest.
14 year old me couldn't stand to see diablo 1 replace metal gear, or sonic 3 for instance.
But its kinda true.
yeah balancing what a game means to me versus how actually good it is is tough. it's kind of impossible to properly quantify cause in some ways i consider kh/ms and mother 3 to all be tied. i tried to list based on how much my experience with each effected me overall/continues to. i never even beat tales of the abyss or eternal sonata lol but they still stand.
i'm not gonna think about this any harder so here's a 4x4 in rough chronological order. i guess these are the games i'm still thinking about the most even if i haven't played em in a while

some very fine picks, i love the neverhood & skullmonkeys
but yeah @everyone don't feel like you gotta adhere to the 5x5 format if you don't want, this is really just a collection of your favorite games and i chose the thread name because of the default setup they give you (and also the fact we have several threads with 'your favorite games' as the thread title)
yeah i considered changing it but honestly i kind of liked being forced to think of it in the constrains of that format, made me really think about why i liked each especially cause when you get past 10 the way you think of it changes a lot
You expect me to have 25 favourite games? In this economy?
rocket league
terraria
outer wilds
s.t.a.l.k.e.r.
metroid prime
not necessarily in that order

how about 2.5?
i havent played a solid single player game in a minute. i have a bigger list of games id like to play than ones id consider my favourite.
i feel like theres a perfect game out there for everyone and it might not even exist yet. not sure what that would be for me

This list is probably out of order or I'm lying about the ones that left a bigger impression on me
But I went on the games I got the most value out of or were really impressed by.
Starcraft had a ton of UMS maps that tripled the games replay value when they weren't being hosted by losers with rigged money versions. It was stuff like "Dawn of the Ancients" or BoundMaps (with the zergling avoiding explosions), several lame rpg maps like X-men InSaNe RPG!!! DBZ ALL SAGAS. They'd get really creative with like a perfect recreation of snakeway complete with Orange Defiler clouds (lol), stuff like that.
I did enjoy other games like SmashTV/TotalCarnage and Mortal Kombat 1 & 2, but these were the ones that stood out without thinking about it too much.
I got a ton of mileage out of fighting games. That one Gundam fighting game for the super nintendo (Endless duel) was really impressive. But Tournament Fighters is probably the best American release; Alpha 2 (SNES) was too slow to do much of anything with.
Tribes and similar first person shooters (Rainbow Six, Unreal Tournament) had entire communities revolving around the demo versions at times.
Team buddies is a game everyone should play at least once.
The music in some of those RPGs I'd rank higher than the modded stuff from half-life one. All the half-life games were mostly silent and I wasn't very good at them.
I never got around to playing Half-life 2

how about 2.5?
-Metroid Prime 2
-Kirby and the Amazing Mirror
-Portal up to where I got before the school club computer crashed on me.
damn nuac cool list really didn't expect to see threads of fate

I dunno if you meant in game or irl but here's the 3 trucks I drove over my 5 year trucking career
(https://i.imgur.com/mgR66Ql.jpg)
Schneider National #14479, my first trucking outfit. It had 300,000+ miles on it when I hopped into i but I loved it like a brother goddamnit
(https://i.imgur.com/q47BheC.jpg)
Western Express #29475. I hated every minute of driving for this forced poverty outfit, yet I clocked the most amount of miles on this truck; from the Colorado rockies to the southwestern plains of New Mexico me and this truck saw it through thick and thin. I will never forget this bitch.

I actually drove 3 trucks with this outfit; 367, 378, and 399, which happened to be the nicest and newest truck in the fleet. during my tenure with this company I managed to go the farthest than I ever had (Memphis, TN)
as for CB radio that antiquated shit is for boomers lmao

a look at what your average sleeper berth looks like
looks cozy but after a while it starts to feel like a jail cell
i'm guessing truck simulators scratch the itch without having to deal with all the shitty parts of being a truck driver
