for Ep 1 impressions, I'm liking it more than I thought, I knew production i,g (and wit) were doing this right after blowing a lot of budget on SnK but so far I've seen style that resembles the amazingly illustrated manga very well and the actual animation in dancing sequences along with associated folley effects make me koom

Today was the day I obtained a rich harvest of ballroom reaction images that I will now use as my sole form of communication
Fun episode, I really liked the amount of expression and drop in quality punchlines, felt a lot like the manga.
However, they did fuck the plot arrangements a bit and gutted and repacked the first dance for the next episode, It's going to be interesting to see how it goes
p.s. amazed by the footwork animation they did for the quickstep sequence, but I'm noticing most of the actually animated dancing feels choppy and doesn't have the flow that even the manga has

No, that's what I was saying, a lot of intentional QUALITY, if such a thing exists, that probably allows them to cheese out a bit on the budget while also improving the delivery of the comedy aspects of conversations and events, not holding itself seriously as it's already about a rather stiff subject
if you'r talking about held stills/tweens (trigger does this a lot) then i could see what you mean. but i haven't started it yet.
although with the dancing they probably will fix in bd if there is any bad animation or rotoscoping

They're missing quite a bit of development that was present and illustrated in the manga but I feel as thought they've refocused the original story and made it livlier

the dancing? yeah. for something like this it would save a lot of time. dancing is one of the hardest things to animate for characters as well

anyways, word on the street is that an animator or two on the ballroom team died and it looks like more null weeks are coming up, while I wouldn't mind this in a 1 cour, this is a 2 cour and the animation studio seems to compensate by focusing directly for dance sequences and cutting out all the CRUCIAL character dev and exposition as the sacrifice
I still have high hopes and mako a cute but it's gonna be a rough road for ballroom over these next 16 weeks
