So How bad is it
it won't be any better (or worse) than any of the live action adaptations of death note already made, which takes us right back to "just read the manga/watch the anime"

B-
but white people.
casting director specifically was not looking for asian actors which makes it worse
How is nucc beating bam to making threads about asian/western clash cinema and tv shows lately

YEEEESSSSSSSSS
I feel like the fact that I know that at least some of the major players in the overall production specifically did not ever look at the source material. I don't even know who this film was supposed to be for then.
So Willem dafoe doesnt read japanese comic books, who cares. (http://ca.ign.com/articles/2017/08/26/netflixs-death-note-willem-dafoe-talks-ryuk-and-skipping-the-source-material)
I am going to let this slide because he is Ryuk and Ryuk is cool.
You really need to see this movie.
Man I'm reluctant to movie because of all the negative reviews. I'm thinking I should do it though, for science.
