Any tabletop/parlor games you'd recommend?
Lately my friends and I have been trying to get into them but, being filthy casuals who prefer e-games, we usually just end up playing Cards Against Humanity (http://www.amazon.com/Cards-Against-Humanity-LLC-CAHUS/dp/B004S8F7QM), which I have mixed feelings about: a lot of the cards being crass and the brow level ranging from upper mid to very low. It's pretty fun though when it works, but it's really not much of a game and is pretty childish (the mechanics were literally copy+pasted from Apples to Apples (http://www.amazon.com/Apples-Party-Box-Combinations-Edition/dp/B00112CHCK)). I never went to university so I never had the treatment until a year ago though.
We tried playing Ticket to Ride (http://www.amazon.com/Days-of-Wonder-DOW-7201/dp/0975277324) but the instructions had like a 27th grade reading level so it kinda fizzled. I've thought of bringing my Nintendo (http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Japanese-Playing-Hanafuda-Miyako/dp/B001FLYYIC) cards but Koi Koi has a pretty steep learning curve.
I've also been recommended Slash (http://www.amazon.com/Games-by-Play-Date-GPD001/dp/B00K5I2VJK), The Metagame (http://www.amazon.com/Local-No-12-The-Metagame/dp/B00R6ME2CM), and Love 2 Hate (http://www.amazon.com/Green-Ronin-3010GRR-Love-Hate/dp/1934547611) but those are all shitty indie games like CAD. Has anyone played them? If I only bought one, which should it be?
Extra points if you know any stylish adventure games for 8-10 players or party games better than CAD employing any degree of wit.
Settlers of Catan is pretty fun
cards against humanity is the only one of those i've played. it's fun the first few times until you start seeing the same cards over and over. then you need the expansion packs and stuff.
on the rare occasion my friends and i play card games we usually end up playing some variation of Munchkin, combined we have pretty much all the different expansions of it. my favorite is the space one. it's a light-hearted rpg card game where the goal is to get your character to lvl 10. of course, there's many ways you can get fucked over in it. it's fun if nobody is taking it seriously (which is how most games are anyway)
Uno is fun and its gets more fun with more people
Have never tried any of those, though generally people speak highly of them if at all. I've tried and liked Warhammer and Magic: the Gathering, both of which stand to be very expensive hobbies.
Yeah those are a bit out of my price range.
Settlers of Catan and Munchkins both look fun, thank you for the suggestions. Uno would be difficult because none of us speak Spanish.

Yeah this is another problem I have with it. Its replay value depends almost entirely on how much you spend on DLC.

Ever hear of Superfight? I've played it a few times on Tabletop Simulator, and it's a lot of fun. Basically, you and another player have a character card and two attribute cards, and you argue who would win in a fight. There's a bit more to it than that, but that's the gist of it.
Secret Hitler is another fun one I've played on TTS, though unless you're willing to fiddle with print and play, you'll have to wait for a physical release in April (although I should mention print and play is free, whereas the physical copies are not).

Superfight sounds like Slash except in Slash you ship characters together and argue for your OTP.
I don't fuck with printouts but thanks anyway.
I've been playing D&D with some friends the past few weeks and that's been a lot of fun. Granted that may only be the case because the DM is pretty good at doing his thing.

I recently played Arkham Horror. It's a fun PvE board game that's basically Yahtzee with a Lovecraftian RPG flavor. Give it a look.

+1 for Munchkin. I ended up combining the Space version with the Cowboy, Kung Fu and Pirate versions to create an Anime Munchkin deck. It's basically Outlaw Star vs Cowboy Bebop, and it gets pretty crazy with all the Samurai Catgirls running around.

No there isn't an anime one. I "made" it by combining the 4 I mentioned, since munchkin has rules for combining different sets.
