anyone remember when we unironically gave animated shows/films their own threads

so i'm wondering if anyone else is paying close attention to this film that will be playing in France. unfortunately i have yet to see any information on a release date for America. i also don't speak french so i don't really know whats going on in the general story other than that it looks like a 'call to adventure (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CallToAdventure)' trope. but hey, i'm up for one considering i haven't seen any of those in awhile. that and the fact that this visually looks
fucking amazing.
glorious blue cow waifu

thoughts/opinions?
This looks cool.
Is it related to Wakfu?
the people who are making this are the same people who made wakfu.
i tried playing wakfu for awhile but it ultimately wasn't for me. the only reason why i played it was for its artwork. without that, it was just another free-to-play rpg. i'm assuming whatever the plot is for this movie it will be similar to wakfu's plot (which was taking back a generic artifact and using it to restore balance to the world or something)
Oh yeah I meant the cartoon. I'm guessing it's the same team of animators?
I honestly forgot they were also games.
i'm pretty sure that the game and show were made by the same group of people who are now making this.
i never watched the show but i heard it was good...
I saw a few episodes. It couldn't keep my attention but it also wasn't this pretty.
I think the last thing I remember from France was Miraculous Ladybug coming out and disappointing absolutely everyone who saw the original teaser.
Here's hoping the frogs deliver this time (meaning don't go CG on us).

oh wow
so that's why the buzz for that show completely disappeared from my newsfeed.
rip
I was expecting a really overblown rage-face-type project based on the title.
This sure is pretty. I have no idea what exactly it's about, tho, but I do hope the rest of the movie is as stylish and fluid as these trailers.
Also I'm surprised French anime is still a thing.
France saving anime

it's already cheap bad vector animation so don't hold ur breath
It may be cheap but I wouldn't call it bad.
@rtil (http://www.thebackalleys.com/forum/index.php?action=profile;u=1) what's your openion on this.

uhh basically starts off with the guy freaking out because "...?.. has been stolen? (i think i heard voler, could have been voiler tho)"
blah blah blah action scene, the bit at the end with blue cow and jak from jak and daxter is cute tho
little shit thing says "we need to hustle", cow pops up and is like "hahaha yeah let's move, we're not here as tourists *blush*" to which Jak replies "I WAS SO CLOSE"
assuming they're an item, cute i love beastiality
It also has [cc] (closed captions).
Not that the [cc] (crackers captions) aren't appreciated.
Also that guy does look like Jak. That jump was weird though. It's like she just levitated.
Levitating Blue Cow Waifu.

i don't mind tweens when they're used appropriately, i think wakfu/dofus does a decent job at finding a balance. thw tv show takes more shortcuts than this movie does or at least it would seem so from the trailers. there's obviously a lot of hand drawn animation in it , i don't see how anyone could call it cheap looking. this is leagues above the Johnny Tests of the world in style and substance.
at this point the wakfu universe is so popular, i hope whoever hired xa-xa-xa (http://xa-xa-xa.deviantart.com/) way back when to develop the style of the game got a raise because if it wasn't for him i doubt their freemium mmorpg would be where it is today.
Well that settles that.

just goes to show you know absolutely nothing about animation, your beloved warner icons were brilliant animators in part because they were very good at knowing how to take shortcuts in animation and put quality where it mattered. they pioneered a lot of animation techniques that not only saved time but still managed to look good.
if they had the digital tools that we had today they would use them in the same ways. in fact, Chuck Jones used flash animation for his "Thomas Timberwolf" series in his later years which employed the use of re-usable assets.
