I recall Tim Schafer saying once that he'd need like 30 million to make it or something though. Not sure how that idea will translate into 3.3 million. I remember even Notch saying he would fund it himself for less.

Well after Schafer's last few successes I don't see how this could possibly suck.

A fig is a fruit. It's also short for 'figure' in some cases. It's also somewhere you can go to back their game-making project, if you're into it.

I'm not interested in this pseudo-kickstarter malarkey as a general rule, but has nobody played the first game? I fear ye've been missing out.

the 3.3 being crowdfunded is only a small part of the money needed, there's an unspecified extra amount of cash from an unspecified investor/publisher as mentioned in the video, on top of other miscellaneous cash

I played the original, I am curious about the 2nd one. I liked how Broken Age turned out though, so I'm fairly confident for this sequel.

only half of the money from the crowdfunding is going into actual game development. why even bother? seems like they're going to get a much larger chunk of money from actual investors

I really liked the first one. Like everyone else, I'll buy it but not pledge because I feel like they're only doing this now because the other crowdfunding campaigns have brought in a lot...

also if they make a milkman level again i'm going to throw up
