But what about practical stuff? You know, like, stuff you can actually make shekels with (career artists get out).
Recently I've gotten into soldering, which I would never in a million billion years have expected to take to. I learned out of necessity because the battery in my copies of Secret of Mana and Lufia II both died simultaneously and I wanted to replace them in non-ghetto fashion.
I might go back to school for a certificate in electronics because TV repair is far less creatively bereft than the American film industry. I also worked in an arboretum/plant nursery for a while but that was 2hot and 2dirty4me. A more pretentious/idiotic person would say working with hardware gives them spiritual communion with all the Chinese sweatshop workers who built the stuff in the first place, so I'll say that too.

most people already know this but as a hobby i also do a lot of web design and programming on the side. despite being positively mediocre at it i have made some good money doing it from time to time. i would highly recommend those that want to live comfy consider web design as a career. it's really not that hard and it's in constant demand. but you will have to deal with a lot of idiot clients. then again who doesn't

compared to people who do it professionally my code is an absolute mess. on the surface everything might look ok, though
I used to do a lot of martial arts before my health started failing me.
I do a lot of leatherworking, as well as blacksmithing when I can. I guess I would consider those arts, but are more likely to result in potential cash.
I also make games, but I think people know that. Like the beforementioned, could result in potential money.
And some other less common things I guess.

How much does language count as art? I like to study specific ones, but also it in general. Probably never going to do anything with it, though, work would kill the fun.
I often enjoy getting the gym and working out.
I don't necessarily think it makes me much stronger but it does get me in shape and for me that's what counts.
Other than art related shit it's sometimes video games
Lately it's been tough to get "into" games. I often like to reminisce about the fun times I used to have playing games but its hard to emulate.
If you're not appreciating the art in a game/the game as an art-piece, yeah, video games don't have to be art-related.

I'd put language somewhere between, because I mean like literature and poetry are definitely art-related but there's also scientific/soft-scientific fields like linguistics, semiotics, philosophy of language etc. which are only tangentially related. I'd suppose an interest in foreign languages would encompass both. I'd differentiate this from say an interest in drawing because even scientific/medical illustrations as made by a human are
always art. Unless they're like engineering blueprints/drafts I dunno. Maybe an actual artist would.

If you're learning them/about them to enjoy works of literature, poetry, etc. in their native language then the interest would be art-related.
This distinction probably seems a lot more pedantic in Europe where languages other than American are commonly spoken.

Depends. I work Top Floor, which varies depending on which night. Old school London Grime is Thursdays/Saturdays, stuff like Roll Deep, Wiley before he went solo and mainstream, Musical Mob, Ruff Sqwad, the like. Naturally, main floor plays your clubland classics, and so you get a lot of huarache/snapback/vest wearing melts strutting in.
Bottom floor plays exclusively old school R&B/Funk. Basically Stevie Wonder's Superstition back to back. Also the few times I've worked downstairs, everyone always orders a "double coke and vodka". Do you mean a double vodka with coke?!? Do you want a single shot in a tall ball glass, filled with coke?!? Still charge them £2 anyway, so I'm not complaing.
Caught someone trying to spike a girl's drink just this Thursday, and I literally called him out and he tried to bolt for the door, but those bouncers are on the ball 24/7! (or at least, from 10:30PM til 3AM)
