I'll start out with a few obvious ones:

These probably don't actually belong here because they're actually wonderful and powerful movies but here they are:

^Not really a children's film but I still saw it when I was a kid and boy howdy was it traumatizing.
i havent seen any of these but they all look pretty interesting. i'll have to watch at least one a day.
I'd mostly recommend Chirin no Suzu and Plague Dogs. The others are kind of passable.

TBLT covered some pretty interesting themes for a children's film, including but not limited to: suicide (on several occasions), coping with/willfully accepting death, depression, abandonment issues and martyrdom. i probably watched this movie at least a hundred times as a kid
The Brave Little Toaster is great. It was definitely dark, but whenever it did visit darker places, there always seemed to be logic and poetry behind it, which softened the blow a bit, at least compared to a large portion of this creep's stuff:

Which I usually hated anyway.
Also dang 100 times? I don't think there was a movie I watched even 25 times as a kid. Maybe Cats Don't Dance, which is embarrassing. Most of my very favorite movies like Tonari no Totoro (Fox dub) and Majo no Takkyubin I couldn't watch that often because they were too emotionally taxing.
for some reason i did not get tired of stuff very easily as a kid. i would come home from school and watch the same movies for months on end. TBLT is definitely not the only film i did this with. most of the other ones were disney films, though. also games. it's funny because now i get bored of most things rather quickly.
I loved Watership Down, I had a book comprised of stills from the film, which I read to the point where it is now in tatters
I actually ended up bringing it away from home with me haha, still a lot of sentimental value attached!
Is it this one? (http://www.amazon.com/Watership-down-film-picture-book/dp/0025002600)
The novel is really good too from what I remember, which isn't much because I read it in 5th grade.
