It looks entertaining enough to watch but I can't help but feel like I've seen a very similar looking film before hand.

Yes.
It has its moments. I wouldn't say it's terrible or the worst movie I've seen, but it's not something to write home about.
for it being a period film, I actually wish they focused more on the characters than doing jump scares every other scene.
