Being a boy is tough, right? Wrong.

I found that out the hard way, and if you'll let me tell you how I found that out, I'll tell you how. I was a typical little girl; cute girl, blonde hair, and a multitude of close friends. I did really well at school (much to my older brother's annoyance) and then one day I became a boy. I woke up, like any other day, except on other days I didn't wake up with a penis for the first time in my life. I could not believe it. Not at all. I looked in the mirror and saw my body and shouted.

"Apenis?!"

I laughed for a long time at how much that phrase sounded like 'happiness', and that was more than a coincidence. Being a boy was akin to pure happiness. No responsibility, no vaginal issues, no fighting with girls and the chance to walk with real swagger. I revelled in every moment of my other-wordly experience, biting my lip at every turn.

This was just the beginning.

My metamorphosis was astounding, quite simply. I thought, like any sane person, that such things were impossible - outwith the realms of idle daydreaming (to which I was prone). The physical change was the most bracing. I gave myself a look in the mirror, and then kissed it;

"Oops, that's not a cute boy, it's me!"

Now fully dressed in a handsome Armani suit, Clolin (me, in boy form) set out to school.

I ran to the school bus, and was massively shocked at how fast I could run;

"I guess these long legs are good for something, huh?" I enquired to nobody in particular as I looked at the camera, and winked.

I made it to the bus on time and hopped on, sweating. I noticed my friends, three lovely girls, and began to walk toward them, but I got a 'boner' instead. Then I remembered that I was a boy, with a penis and no friends! I tumbled into a chair, giving the cool busdriver a dude's thumbs-up as I sat - as a girl, I had waved.

School was lame, even as a boy.

As I parachuted onto the ornate gardens of Versailles, I came to realise the inert superiority of man over woman. Becoming a boy was the best decision I ever made. Clolin was here to stay.

I managed to shake the last of my lovers off my dick and then opened my parachute. The canopy exploded with colour, revealing a beautiful rainbow.

"What?! A rainbow? Think of the connotations!" I angrily shouted to, and against, the wind.

Furious with vaguely-homophobic rage, I managed to shoot every shred of material on the parachute, successfully putting an end to any questions of my sexuality.

I had a new problem, now, albeit a lesser one.

"I've got no 'chute..." I mumbled, putting my gun back in its holster.

I was almost certain that even boys weren't impervious to massive drops from huge distances. I was wrong.

I landed without a sound and felt nothing, in a field full of scarecrows.

"You might have scared the crows, but you haven't shocked me in the slightest." I winked to them, putting my dick away.

Edit: I didnt do a lot of songs in the past because of the drums and then reloading all the fonts for all the channels I use

I'd like to make a tutorial on how to sequence covers in FruityLoops but most people seem to get the hang of it right away, and I'm reluctant to waste my time on things people already know. Fewer people are using FL anyway . I might just make one anyway, I'm not sure yet.

It isn't very profound but if you're interested let me know. I'm deciding on this without any input.

Spleeter's a neat tool in that it rips vocal audio a little better than other acapella creating tools in the past; It uses neural AI networks to identify the sound of each instrument and splits them up. You would normally need to run the tool from command line using python, but https://melody.ml/ (https://melody.ml/) will run spleeter from your web browser for you. I created these files as a result.

I think im gonna move toward reworking songs I didnt like as much.


I keep thinking about making a tutorial; but what version or software do I use.
These are the general steps I take for most covers:

1) Find an mp3 you like
2) Open Audacity/SoundForge,
3) Get rid of the mp3 gap, Save it as WAV (no more mp3 gap).
    mp3s encode a gap whenever you save them, you'll have a better time finding tempos if you remove these
4) Find the tempo
    This takes several more steps and a bit of guess work
    e.g. i) If its too slow, raise it 5 bps
          ii) If it's too fast, lower it 5 bps
          iii) If its inbetween , raise it or lower it 0.800, 0.500 , 0.300 etc
          iv) Check for Tempo Changes***

5) Lay out the notes in the step sequencer / piano roll
     i) Find out if the song uses triplets (1 + 1/2 or 1.5 notes)  or not,****
       
The rest goes specfically into using FL and laying out patterns on the playlist and all that

6) Lay out notes
    i) Change instruments
    ii) Change Soundfonts
   iii) Add a Filter, and or Reverb, depending on whatever etc. Use a Filter to prevent clipping

7) Export and name properly.

8) Export to Midi for use in synthesia etc (Optional)

The above is a very generalized list of what I've done. You can get started with a copy of FL4,(why??) FL12 or garageband or abletonlive or whatever I'm not familiar with anything besides FL4 though, but most of this just involved a lot of patience and taking a lot of breaks. You're only limited by your ability to try and try and try and try etc.

I sbutmitted something to OCremix around my birthday in feb. They didn't really like it, and they tend to like stuff that's arranged a certain way to be $$$monetized$$$. While I do think it could've been mixed a lot better; their leaning toward super-arrangements frightens me; Some of their remixes on the albums, sound nothing like the original.

I made it for anipedia and flashkit in 2009, I dont know if it got a lot of use; there were no counters or download numbers on either page.

I noticed too; more people were keen on adding or using scenes to their flash movies. This crappy seekbar only works with a single scene, not multiple (sorry). Its probably not worth using anyway heh.

I just assumed thats what they did; no one notified or emailed me or asked anything.
This distrokid stuff is very hands off and im still waiting for the credits to change on apple music to reflect who actually played guitar (not me) and drums (also not me).

There are other distributors like CDbaby but this whole new streaming music system is like, kinda weird.

I dont love AI, but proper teeth and lips on a manhwa character is really fucking creepy.

Infact here's a story for you
I wasnt really fussed about sound quality until I was told WAV was better than FLAC; I have no real means to encode in FLAC, but WAV, while bigger, is fine for me.

I noticed it sounded slightly sharper but considering most recordings are virtual I didnt see the point until now; a slight different in quality. (the 90s fuzzy keyboard doesnt help a whole lot, but hey).

I really think these tools should be embraced by people who know how to use them for quick gimmicky internet shit and not losers chronically typing their fantasies into them hoping for a better result and calling that a form of art because they are kidding themselves.

I dont like what came out, but then again I am nearing 40 and the stigma and culture is very much against me to be drawing  green wizards with hats and fat women in pink dresses with little red ribbons and bows, for a roleplaying game in flash, so I am very appreciative of the people who do that for a living or a hobby themselves and are much better at it than I am.

I don't doubt they all would've canned my request or commission upon asking and this would be a huge waste of time if I had tried; because I have for other artistic ideas and have gotten mixed results with all the other artists I've tried but zekey; Zekey is the best and only one I've had good dealings with. I dont think I have the patience or time to scan twitter for someone who may or may not draw something for me?

Honestly this takes a ton of shame out of me drawing this myself and failing so i am really thankful for that. All the other circles I am in just ask me 'why the fuck are you using flash' or 'please stop using flash', or just jump on me over the slightest thing they dont understand? I feel very much misunderstood in all places but TBA. I am entirely not fussed over this incredibly simple thing that I made last year and boosted to something a little better , with better AI artwork, some more code and slightly better music.

And lets face it, its not going to be sold anywhere because no one will buy it for realsies, and that was never the intent anyway. Its pretty close to tracing assets off google images for your crappy flash game from early 2000s is it not? idk
