Title: The good webcomics thread
Post by: Kooh on September 3, 2014 07:40 PM
i am without a computer while I wait for a charger so I would like some webcomics that are good/great/entertaining or something that you like to pass the time

maybe you dont read webcomics and thats fine also

here's one: http://deadwinter.cc/ (http://deadwinter.cc/)
i like the aesthetic and the character development, its very talky and the plot isn't anything to write home about but I like the interaction between these 4 individuals

You beat me to it, bam. PBF is my favorite webcomic ever.

I also enjoy Hark, a Vagrant! (http://harkavagrant.com/) and Nedroid (http://nedroid.com/) like everyone else.

I used to like Penny Arcade, but they've been getting shittier and too scared of doing anything that would break their own formula.

Adventure/Mystery/Sci-Fi Fantasy and easily the best webcomic that isn't purely comedy.

http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/ (http://www.gunnerkrigg.com/)

Comedy Porn

http://oglaf.com/ (http://oglaf.com/)

Just about everything from Dave and Giz (they're all inter-related stories)

Start with these two:

http://www.menagea3.net/ (http://www.menagea3.net/)
http://www.eeriecuties.com/ (http://www.eeriecuties.com/)

And move to these when their respective characters spin-off:

http://www.magickchicks.com/ (http://www.magickchicks.com/)
http://www.dangerouslychloe.com/ (http://www.dangerouslychloe.com/)

You could also read manga but that would require an entirely separate thread for suggestions.

i'm going to sound like such a cynical jaded asshole here but i've never read a webcomic i liked enough that made me want to actively follow it, i don't really have any suggestions. although one of my friends from uni is making a comic with an ongoing story she wants to publish and so far it's been really good. and she's a great artist. it's called chapel also ran and you can read it here (http://www.chapelalsoran.com/)

I fucking love Subnormality but the update schedule is painfully slow and some of them can be a chore to read.

Though all of the ones from #150 on are great, here's one of my favorites:

I really like oglaf because comedy porn.

I also read The Dreamer (http://thedreamercomic.com/), but it's mainly a girl's webcomic because it deals with a love triangle and stuff. It's also been on hiatus for a while, so yeah

>Implying I can't enjoy love triangles.

The hiatus is the real deal breaker, I hate getting sucked into comics and binge reading them only to find the author updates once a year at best. The Meek was so promising from it's early only chapters...

I also enjoy Hark, a Vagrant! (http://harkavagrant.com/)

i think hark a vagrant is pretty good. it's made me laugh more than a few times.

although i kind of agree with rtil when he mentioned that there's not a lot that have made me want to actively follow them.

That's the only thing I've seen by them because someone posted it on /a/. I could explain why I think it's funny, which isn't because "haha 9/11," but I'll spare you.

He indoctrinates them from a young age with bad perspective, off key anatomy, and giant dicks.

i thought it possibly had something to do with the page being torn, but that's the problem. the panel with the punchline is poorly executed. so if the joke has to be explained, then it's already ruined

western smut artists and their enthusiasts set the bar really low. they're all so amazingly bad it's almost unbelievable

I'd totally forgotten about Oglaf. I saw an ad of it, I think, on Hark, a Vagrant's site and decided to waste a couple of minutes reading it just to think "oh wow this stupid porno comic  is so bad". Like how you'd look at the thread of bad just to cringe at it a bit.

Burnt my tongue tho. It's really well-written and the sex isn't cheap "webcomic that wants your attention" sex, it's always just a couple panels of some illusionist monologuing while sucking a guy's dick and it turns into a clever punchline.
