I thought it'd be interesting to know what channels you people are into.
I personally watch quite a lot of TotalBiscuit's stuff, mainly the WTF is and Hearthstone series.
Another person I watch (which I know a lot of people here probably don't like) is YogscastSips, cause he's funny as fuck. I haven't watched his stuff since he started doing that shitty prop-hunt thing but whatever.
Mainly though, I'm watching RoosterTeeth and AchievementHunter (channel name is LetsPlay) stuff.
Other than that it's just silly german rap battle tournament stuff and things like Numberphile and that whole network.
sips seems like such a nice guy, and his commentary is always interesting so yeh i watch his stuff a bit. the rest of them can get a bit annoying at times
the only channels i regularly check up on are twobestfriendsplay, ashens and broteampill
i havent really been following thebestfriends nuzlocke run or their yakuza playthrough tho

TBFP's Earth Defense Force video was cool. Also, sips is super laid back and just funny. I started to dislike most of the other yogscast nowadays. I used to like them during Tekkit but after that (and obviously SoI which is great) it went to shit.
I like a guy called 'Werster', who does pokemon speedruns. Apart from that don't really watch much.
my current top three are AllShamNoWow, Dunkey, and Notslaya49
ASNW is really sarcastic and likes to make fun of bad video games. he also makes the occasional montage that makes fun of "serious montages"
dunkey... well im sure a lot of people know who he is through his LoL vids, but i watch more of his other videos. his halo recapped stuff was my favorite.
notslaya has this silly casual charm to his commentary. he does not have much of a fanbase, but i know him personally and hes a nice guy.
i watch a little of sips. hes the only yogscast related thing i still watch after lewis and simon stopped making shadow of israphel.
penguinz0, vinesauce, dunkey
cr1tikal has a beautiful voice and his infomercial spoofs are the fuckin best
dunkey's e3 2013 video was what sold me, and i've been tuning in ever since
vinesauce: came for vinny, stayed for joel
huskystarcraft - only youtube caster who consistently makes entertaining starcraft content
nonstampcollecter - crudely drawn cartoons about atheism that are really well made. unfortunately he rarely updates
THE BEST GAMERS - no description available
redlettermedia - the guys who made the star wars reviews. but their rss feed updates videos on their site way before youtube
nothing else worth noting, most of the popular channels are complete shit stuffed with clickbait
I agree with thebestgamers, penguinz0 and vinesauce as fine choices. I wouldn't have included TBG in my list if rtil hadn't mentioned it because they're on quite a hiatus and I'll only mention the active channels I sub to
I also sub to a whole buncha dark souls uploaders, mega64, lowtax (his LP shenanigans with shmorky are often hilarious), Ratboy Genius (why the fuck not?!), and The Onion.
Some of these channels also have a bunch of "associated" channels that I sub to, like with vinesauce.
agnescecile - she does nice watercolor time lapse videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=golBymjXor4)
CGPGrey - fairly good at explaining different concepts such as alternative voting methods (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7tWHJfhiyo#ws)
AgentXPQ - Tales of Mere Existence, a sad-funny hand drawn blog. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hfl9e53LX_U&list=TLkVQ6WxyxSwBGqEBbHXPgCUXCwQ0ErzRZ)
too many to put in one post

Also yeah, Lowtax and Shmorky are great too.
Let's Play: "Stalked @ Home" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTO_8rBkSwo#ws)
Here's a few more unique ones -
Funker Tactical - Videos on paramilitary tactics or martial arts (usually Kali) and whatnot. A lot of focus on wisdom / meaning to practice these things. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zub9DlI37yo)
Flow - Parkour stuff, generally they have pretty high production values and some cool POV stuff. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwDwy3veUWI)
Bob42jh - Chill beats. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCaHZMK0Re0&list=PL8453EF3C29F8416A)
here's a cool one i forgot about - tskobaya (https://www.youtube.com/user/tskobaya/videos?view=0&flow=grid&sort=p). this guy goes on 'pilgrimages' to real life locations referenced in anime.
here's an example of him visiting the city that was used in reference for Kyoani's Hyouka
【聖地巡礼】氷菓の舞台となった飛騨高山市を訪れてみた【紅葉】 (Hyōka ~takayama) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StZThZXqvc4#ws)
he'll travel pretty far to find these places. here he went all the way to this isolated village that was the setting for Non Non Biyori
【聖地巡礼】のんのんびより の舞台となった旧小川小学校下里分校を訪れてみた (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_Oe18P_RXM#ws)

That seems to be a typically KyoAni thing by the way... I dunno if it's because they usually really faithful in their adaptations of actual places /their pretty nice style or if it's just because of their insane fanbase.
An acquaintance of mine from Japan does similar things. He was at the K-On school and travelled to the place where Elfen Lied was set (hey, that one aint Kyoani). Oh and he showed me some K-On! Movie locations in london too, but I think I already posted those pics at some point.

Idunno... it seems really hard to tell when that guy's actually being... serious.
Might've just been an attempt at something everythingisterribl-ish
Posing channels that I follow would be lame because I got most of them from the videos that rtil posts in the newsfeed...
oh and I follow a total of 5 people
I should kill myself
Going with MillionDollarExtreme. I thought that whole brony dating sim scam was actually really funny though.
nobody got scammed tho
True but I think Sam knew it was gonna get exposed.
seems oddly absurd to put all that effort into something for the sake of a joke if he somehow knew he wasn't gonna get the money. comes off more of a closet brony than anything else after that debacle
Yea but we can agree Sam is fucking insane and sometimes hard to figure out.

nonstampcollecter - crudely drawn cartoons about atheism that are really well made. unfortunately he rarely updates
after watching a couple uploads, this guy really reminds me of darkmatter2525.
dm's stuff is a bit more quirky compared to nsc, but he still gets the message across nicely.
people figured it was a scam pretty early on: http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/2110528317/dark-skyes-an-epic-brony-dating-sim/ (http://www.kicktraq.com/projects/2110528317/dark-skyes-an-epic-brony-dating-sim/) (look at day 4)
and yeah im pretty sure he knew people were gonna figure out it was fake. he put in a lot of 'clues' if you will: he uses their own music and their own graphic style and the intro with the masked guy cant be serious
i think the funniest part is the fact that he convinced all those va's and artists to work on it: http://www.horse-news.net/2014/03/pukey-pony-speaks-out-about-dark-skyes.html (http://www.horse-news.net/2014/03/pukey-pony-speaks-out-about-dark-skyes.html)
plus i dont think he put in a lot of effort into this. it was mostly the artists and the va's. putting on a mask and writing those silly pony characters doesnt look like a lot of work for a guy as manic as him

i don't think dm is as funny and his art is more crude instead of charming. but they're both good

anyone that backed a pony dating simulator deserved to have their money stolen
true
well, nothing got stolen in the end. so despite all his efforts, le epic troll mastermind MDE accomplished basically nothing and lost a bunch of cash himself in the process, considering he paid artists and amateur VA's for their time.
yeah wouldve been fucking great if they actually got it done

This and An Inconvenient Anime (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVDDnDzpoHM) are the only MDE related things I've found hilarious:
Sam Hyde's 2070 Paradigm Shift (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yFhR1fKWG0#ws)
I fucking died watching this (especially 13:05, but there are so many hilarious bits). It's completely spot on. Aside from the recent Edward Snowden interview, TED Talks seem to consist of a bunch of self-congratulatory pseudo-intellectuals trying to inspire people to "save the world," but none of their "ideas worth spreading" mesh in any kind of cohesive way, because the very concept is so individualistic ("We're so screwed"). The fact that one of the people Sam Hyde questions in this video expresses apathy because he "won't be here in 2070," is so telling, even though it's anecdotal. It's like Gen-X and the Boomers (i.e. guests at TED) want to die without it having even mattered that they were ever alive.
But yeah are there any other public stunts they've done like these that I'm not aware of? I guess that MLP dating sim thing was pretty funny but I was too squeamish to watch the video before I knew it was him.
Most of the YT channels I'm subscribed to are 4chan related but I guess I could post some of them later.

those are indeed some of their best. if you like those you might also like the man on the street videos they make: williamsburg street fashion (3 parts) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14jqZ-bVx3c) and MDE whipz (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D71iSwArWVI)
their other projects are good too, but its not for everyone i guess College cunts (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKwMFas9XnY) and ideas man (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1yrH4qS2RA)
sam's standup: Privileged White Male Triggers Oppressed Victims (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tt19Vp9uBiQ) and Gutta Man (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWFaG_7RySI)
the majority of their videos however are just sam hyde with his camera. my faves: 1 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltF-6ldrqJs) 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d47Jibt-EOE) 3 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgT4sjRiLAY)
This is also a great sketch

Other channels I dig:
InternetAristocrat- Always fun seeing stupid Tumblrs getting put in their place
Charliezzz- classic second life videos
FroggyFreshRap- fresh rhymes
GodsConnect- Just a collection of some really cool hip hop instrumentals
PolidoNobre- Great collection of Bossa Nova type of music
I'm don't subscribe to channels but here are some I watch sometimes.
