im wondering if anyone has given this a go yet, because if not, i highly recommend it.
gameplay-wise it's actually very enjoyable, with the controls handling extremely well. there's a real feeling of pace while playing; i went into it expecting slow and bulky 3rd person gameplay akin to gears of war, but it couldn't be further from that.
standing still will get you killed. outflanking and outmaneuvering your opponents is crucial.
in a lot of games ive played trudging across the map to get to the fight happens all too often and is rather boring. in loudout i actually found it enjoyable leaping and sprinting around the maps. the level design is well thought out, with the potential for some truly ridiculous and absolutely insane moments
nothing will really prepare you for the sight of half naked men bounding around in circles spitting 30 forms of death at each other. some of them will be on fire. many will be missing limbs.
that being said i dont think its anything massively new.

but its stylish, enjoyable and well executed. the animation, style and some of the preset gibs make for some brutally hilarious, almost cinematic, kills and deaths; with torsos and middle fingers flying all over the place.
also if you've heard anything so far about this im assuming it'll be about the weapon customization. there's a lot of it. that being said, it's remarkably easy to build a really shitty loadout.
it's a matter of pros and cons. do you sacrifice firepower in order to chuck out more bullets? you really can build everything from a one hit wonder to an absolute spamcannon that vomits bouncing mines ALL OVER THE FUCKING MAP.

the game looks cool , but i'm skeptical because it's f2p. what's the revenue model for this game like?
its freemium, but i wouldnt say it was pay to win at the moment
real money can be used to purchase cosmetic things and xp boosts. there are no options to just straight up buy in game items with real money, and everything that i've seen so far can be unlocked through gameplay and a daily reward system.
so you can just unlock stuff faster if you pay

I played the game in very early beta and talked to some of the devs during my thejollyden times - back then they didn't even want to give out XP boosts but they say that it's the fastest way to make the game pay for its development costs. Initially, they only wanted to have cosmetic stuff, like costumes, dances, character models, etc.
Anyways, Loadout was one of the most fun games I've ever played. Maybe that's because I had access to all of the weapon modifies from the get go (they unlocked it for our videos), but it was fun as hell anyways. I'd definitely give that game a try.

actually when you get close to dead, your character has internal organs/bones/brain+eyes combo exposed
