but yeah this is pretty cool, the boy eating flies is a little too burton-esque for my tastes, as is the furry lookalike deer (wouldn't his ass get cold?)

the last picture is pretty impressive, if i had to complain about anything (i always do) the starry background could have used a little more thought as it is nowhere as impressive as the pile of dead deer below it, while the texture on the trees feels kind of poor/cheap

basically the linework is very nice but the surroundings could have used a little more love

i agree, i actually had to re draw that one three times and i still am not happy with it. the simple background is the only one that really made the deer stand out.

a scuplture, nice. dont see those very often. i lack the patience for them. and traditional paint as well. i applaud your dedication to the tangible. i have fully succumbed to digital art, i am a slave to the machine :wile:

my plan is coming to fruition.

But i do like these. i'll complain about the only thing i can see. The right arm on the sculpture is kinda bent. But i do like the design of it and you gave it a good pose.

Ooh, very nice. I like the rather minimalistic nature of the compositions of those two drawings you had posted. That last one is pretty awesome, in my opinion. Perhaps some of the tones could've been emphasized a little more. I also second what Sinitron said, in the sense that the texture on the trees is rather flat and too uniform. But otherwise, very favourable stuff nonetheless. I'll look forward to see what else you'll post here soon.

the stroke around the figure gives him a lot of volume and makes him pop out. it works well

I really like the concept art, my favorite so far ;o

okay yeah that is pretty good

if i have to complain about anything, it would be the lack of a 'proper' background of some sort

but that's about it

Everything everyone else said.

Also, when you're doing that heavy, thick brushstroke try easing into and out of it a bit more. It's emotional as it is, but comes across a little naive. A little more deliberation and anticipation before the passion of the stroke would speak volumes about your mind at the time and the additional line weight would ultimately enhance the depth of the image.

I like the general roughness of this one. The colour choices are pretty favourable as well, they compliment the subject well. Seriously, post more when you can, Nessie, this stuff is wonderful.

Thanks! °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

I'm trying to work on backgrounds at the moment, they're probably what I'm most terrible at. I always half-ass them.
I'm thinking about just doing a bunch of landscape paintings to try and get better at it.

here's are a couple of recent doodles lacking backgrounds.

i invested in a graphics tablet though so ill try to finish something up with an actual background to put on here

Oh grand, nice to see you've updated again. I rather like how the body of the figure in the first one looks as though it has decayed progressively down their body.

for what it is it's great. i don't really have any critique when it comes to animation principles since you are doing a crazy morph thing , there's nothing to really compare it to in the real world. it would make a neat adult swim bump for what it's worth :D

thanks! i wanna try to get into some more standard things so that i can know what to improve on

this one probably would've looked smoother if i'd had something nicer than a camera phone to shoot stills of the frames on

channeling unomoralez?

i've never seen your color work so i don't have a frame of reference. but color changed a lot for me when i learned the concept of warm light/cool shadow and vice versa, and picking proper blending tones. here's a basic idea:

that pixel art actually was a direct result of having remembered his stuff from a few years ago!

also YES thank you this is awesome.
i pretty much never do anything in color because when i do i end up hating the end result and throwing it aside.
i really should just study the color wheel more and be able to more readily identify complementary colors.
i've always shaded in color from light to dark rather than warm to cool and never understood why it looked so dull until now

hope that will be helpful then! just don't trust photoshop's blending and use your own instincts. if photoshop is what you paint in, anyway
