And preferably also 'why'.
For me:
America
I consider things such as the health system and job safety to be a lot more comfortable for the citizen in Germany and surrounding countries, but I feel like the only way to get to be hugely successful something is to live in the U.S. I know that it can probably also fuck me up majorly once I'm there and my dreams and hopes don't work out, but succeeding there has more value than succeeding here in Germany or Denmark (at least for me).
Japan
Now I'm not overly interested in the anime style and generally only watch animes when I'm interested in their plot/story/writing or sometimes even visual presentation - so I'm not wanting to go there for some weabo reasons lmao. But I've seen Japan in 'An Idiot Abroad' and it looks like an amazing place, full of technology and color.
There probably already is a topic like that but I couldn't be bothered to find and bump it. With all these new people wandering about, I'd be interested in reading what they'd write.
Your turn.
i want to visit nowhere
japan , but only if i had a friend who lived there to show me around. i've had some friends who have spent a lot of time there studying and they know tokyo pretty well.
other than that there are places that i'd like to see but i honestly hate traveling and being away from my work and my home. i get restless pretty quickly. if it's too far away i'll probably never go there.
i wanna spend some time in california and maybe visit the east coast again (seattle, nyc, etc)
i want to travel to china and japan mostly for the temples and ancient culture
i wanna go to sydney
travelling is great, at least when you're with your parents and they're paying, hahah. idk if i will love travelling as much as i do now when i grow up and have to make all the arrangements myself, including getting time off for work and all that
The labs in tokyo. The labs in california. The space station (via proxy). And.... I hear good things about st.paul from my brother.
I doubt anyone would appreciate it if I dumped my huge folder of places I'd like to see, so I'll try to keep it reasonable.
Turkey: The culture has always intrigued me, and it's weird how despite being 98% muslim the country's government is more or less secular.

And of course, Burning Man.
The Places You'll Go at Burning Man (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahv_1IS7SiE#ws)
Japan and France, to talk to natives in their own language and just walk around seeing everything.
Valhalla \m/
or France because I like their music scene
i've seen the glaciers before they melted
there's really nothing else worth seeing
perhaps the geysers of iceland sometime
Greenland, Kurdistan, Spain, Nanjie, Chiapas, The Koreas, Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Cuba, Vietnam, The 'Isles.
Quite a number of places really.
There's quite a plethora of places I would quite like to visit. I suppose visiting anywhere with mountains would be neat, seeing as I have a fondness for monoliths.
I lived in Japan for a bit, the suburbs are boring and people stare at you because you're white/non-Japanese. I'd like to go back but stay in the cities this time.
I'd love to hang around Central Asia because it looks cool, other than that I'd like to go around the world meeting internet friends.
The one place I wouldn't go though is Africa. Its hot, full of darkies, dangerous animals and diseases. Wouldn't even go near the civilised places there like SA or Egypt. I just ignore that whole continent.
Libya used to be a good 'civilized' African country until a year or two ago when it was ruined forever.
I would've put it on my list otherwise.
i wouldn't mind going to iceland
again
'been fortunate to see a lot of the world already otherwise

Oh fuck, of course. Iceland was also a place I'd really like to see in person at least once in my life. Even if it's just for a few days, it has some really amazing looking shit.

My only warning about visiting iceland is that you need to be prepared to drive... A LOT. On the flipside, it's impossible for the drive to not be scenic, and unless your in a city / town, there's pretty much just one road, so its hard to get lost. If the driving doesn't bother you, then definitely worth the visit (warning: depending on where you are from, it can also be expensive)
I would just like to hang out with my internet friends for a cup of coffee at least once :T

I just looked up the prices and it only costs me $1500, I thought it was gonna be at least $2500.
Japan because I am a huge faggot.
Top priority might actually be China because of my Martial Arts background.
Oh and Vegas. Never been to America and just saying USA would firstly be too vague and secondly probably evoke a shitstorm by bored people, telling me how horrible their country is... But ye, Murrica!
there are plenty of great places to visit in the united states
