It looks pretty awesome if you ask me. Kind of abrupt, given generation five was released less than two years ago, but it looks appealing nonetheless.

I'm definitely choosing Fennekin. Because fennec foxes. Yes.

I'd definitely say that about the Grass type. What the fuck is it supposed to represent?

Also, I hope Fennekin's evolutions aren't yet more iterations of Fire/Fighting types.

Looking at the grass-type's name, it makes me wonder if it's not some sort of chestnut thing.

And I happen to like the Fire-type, since it's a Fennec Fox. Those things look like fun.

Fennecs are absolutely crazy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6yIgG6sw_k#)

where is it legal to have a fennec as a pet
Title: Re: pokemon x and y

Florida I know for sure, if you get a permit (no cost for Fennecs and you just have to take a written test). Permits let you get nearly anything that isn't incredibly dangerous, but the cost, necessary experience and exams scale up the harder it is to actually care for one. You can even own an Ocelot.

I think it's handled like it is with owls; you need to be a breeder with a license in order to be able to legally have 'em.

well a pokemon game for 3DS was pretty long over due already, since they've really only been making DS games like B/W2 and Conquest while the 3DS was out.

I'm hoping with these games it's executed in a similar fashion to how Pokemon were distributed in Black and White, in the sense that one only encounters Pokemon from previous generations at post-game. I felt the integration of that into the generation five games elicited more of a sense of curiosity.

good ol pokemons fine and all but im glad theyre finally doing something different.  thats great and all but they should still give the series a breather. give er sometime. let it relax. chill out. man

Post by: rtil on January 17, 2013 11:17 PM
they would if people stopped buying them

but they've been able to get away with basically rehashing the same game for over a decade while turning a very nice profit
Title: Re: pokemon x and y
Post by: ZennyPLUS on January 22, 2013 04:51 AM
honestly, i think they're going to make another pokemon in the same generation as this one, but only for the wii u. now that nintendo has combined their hardware teams, i'm sure they're thinking of a way to get games to work on both the home console and portable.

rtil has a point. but the pokemon games have been the same for a long while now. they've only been adding new things to the series with each generation entry. compared to other "mon" series, i think pokemon is really the only to garner huge attention whenever a new game is released.

It's perfect, isn't it? X Y Z, three axis for a 3D game. It makes so much sense that Nintendo will instead make Pokemon X2 and Y2 like they did with Black and White instead of Grey.

Actually, imagine if they made Pokemon DX and DY. It would certainly be...derivative.
