The Power of Introverts - Ep 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ar1kEN_ZPNM#ws)

This video here has a very good, but general, information about introvert behavior and personality vs. extrovert personality. As someone who works in retail, I am forced to display an extrovert appearance and frankly I hate it. I thought this was a good watch, maybe you all may think the same too.

Hmm, interesting watch, there, I think it highlights some fairly interesting views on such personality traits and how they are generally approached. I consider myself a bit of an introverted personality type more than anything.

There should be a third option other than a little of both I think. Because a lot of people I know would call me a strong Exovert, but there are also a lot of people that would call me a strong Introvert.

Well, like it was stated in the video, human beings aren't 100 percent intro or extrovert. Thus is why I have the third option. Also, it sounds like your behavior varies greatly depending upon what people you are around, which is once again, normal for most people. You wouldn't talk to your grandmother the same way you do with friends, right?

XD, actually, I for the most part do. I usually try to be polite to everyone, even though I do say things I wouldn't what my grandmother to hear, that's only like 30-40% of the time.

...yeah I haven't made a new friend in around 10 years, so take a gander. After much research that I did a few years ago, I have concluded that I'm the "bad" kind of introvert though, give or take

While TBA has a wider array of people, chances are a majority of active internet people are more introverted

i am definitely an extrovert , i don't mind large crowds of people, i like speaking in front of people, i used to be an actor and play music on stage. i don't find myself in those kinds of situations anymore though and i am somewhat addicted to my work so i spend most of my time alone by choice. but if given the situation i am extremely outgoing. shy and purposely awkward people annoy me, though i can usually get them to open up and act like they would in front of someone they're more comfortable with. i'm actually pretty good at breaking the ice in situations that people make awkward, and i can do a very good job at pretending to enjoy someone's company and keep things interesting.

According to the Meyer's Briggs test I'm INFJ

My I (introversion) is only moderate but my N (intuition) is pretty much at the most extreme end of the scale. I'm pretty much right in the middle on T-F so I could swing as a INTJ. I only vaguely understand what the other letters besides Introversion-Extroversion mean though.

I consider myself a bit of both. I really like people but can deal with being alone for long periods of time and even enjoy it.

I'm an introvert, but definitely not an extreme one like I used to be. I was extremely anti-social in my teenage years and liked the fact I had no rl friends. Nowadays, that has changed a lot. I have made a lot of rl friends, I love having out with them, and I love partying. But I also love having time to myself and learned I need a balance of sorts. Too much time alone can make me go nuts, but being around people constantly is exhausting and can make me more sick of dealing with people. >_> Really enjoyed watching both that video and the newest episode that released today.

introvert
so much so, that when pushed into social situations that i am not ok with i get aggressive and offend everyone around me verbally, and even physically hurt people sometimes
the latter rarely happens but it DOES happen

Introvert with some extrovert tendencies.

I assume normal people are either introvert with extrovert tendencies or extrovert with introvert tendencies.

i don't think either extreme is good

you need to be able to communicate with others face to face, discuss, debate, make plans and understand what others are trying to convey

but at the same time, shutting out exterior factors for a while to reflect and put more thought into both actions and words is very important
