Before my motherboard fried, my 250GB HDD died. That was the one I had windows on, now I still had another one with 1TB but on that one I had all of my stuff (flash files, scripts, things i programmed, pictures, etc) so I decided to just buy a new one. I saw that 1TB just cost like 20€ more than 250GB or 500GB, so I went with another 1TB drive.

Shortly after, my motherboard fried and I decided to get an almost entirely new system, together with an SDD. If I had known that I would get an SDD, I probably wouldn't have bought the second 1TB HDD, but whatever. The more space I have the better it is!

its not sdd it's ssd - solid state drive. hdd = hard disk drive. my only concern with larger hdd is that they have higher failure rates. but yes they are cheap.. something to be wary of but hdd is cheaper per gig than ssd.

Oh yeah, I got the same exact model that my other HDD is. Also I have no idea why i kept writing SDD instead of SSD, I know the acronym lmao. weird.

I have had the other 1TB drive for 2 or 3 years now and never ran into problems, but it's from Samsung and only got high rate reviews on any website i looked at, so yeah it's relatively high in quality i guess.

generally they should be ok, but when a hdd is failing it goes downhill fast. and now that i've experienced the speed of ssd firsthand i can't ever go back ;_;

uhhh i have a laptop with and i3, 4gigs of memory and a radeon 5650

my desktop has an i5, 4gigs of memory and a gtx465

both are like a couple years old and i went for bang for buck, the objective being simply to run starcraft 2 at ultra settings on my desktop which it does (or did, idk about the new patch or how HOTS will affect it)

1.5 actually goes through an optimization process during the patch, it might run faster. hots will probably be more demanding though. the campaign anyway.

I'm not sure, Blizzard has been big on optimization for a while now (especially with WoW from what I've heard, and yes, i know, different department but still same mentality). I don't think that it will be more demanding on a gfx standpoint, the only thing that I heard they were adding that would make it a bit more demanding is the physics engine. And those usually aren't that demanding.
