who wants to play dialbos tres
never been into the Diablo games.
then why even post in the thread
on topic i only have a guest pass but it's pretty fun. i'd buy it but my brother has it and i can just play on his account whenever he's out. i've always played solo in diablo but wouldn't mind seeing what it's like to play with others.
I do want to pick it up, but I'll probably wait a few months
I'd get it if I had money and a suitable computer.
...although someone told me the servers have been done for longer than they've been up.
the game is also missing a ton of features which they'll patch in Soon™
My gf played Diablo II religiously and she wants to play this one also. I'd like to play MMOs but I already got a ton of games on backlog.
it's not an mmo
also diablo 3 isn't 'bad' but it's boring like no tomorrow
i played the beta and it was literally the exact same fucking game as diablo 2 and that got old years ago
it's mainly just a graphical update which requires a constant connection
If it's not an MMO then what is it? Cause I'm sure you play with thousands of people, hence the 'massively multiplayer'. Or maybe MMO is too broad of an identifier.
You can only play with 4 people at a time. Its not really that open of a world think of it just as a game with a path you have to follow. Sure there will be spots you can explore but it will just be small patches of nothingness with little things to do. Everything you do will get saved at certain parts of the game or manually saved but if you d/c chances are things you have gotten will not be saved (like say after recently saving you killed something and picked up an item and the server goes out, you wouldn't have that item or whatever). Everyone gets their own specific drops which would mean that if you leave an item on the ground and you wanted someone else to have it you would have to pick it up instead of them picking it up.
ya it's like left 4 dead or whatever, coop with some other fags
and you grind for levels and items
but its not strictly an mmo
unless you count, say, tf2 as an mmo because you can trade with thousands of faggots
if diablo is an mmo so is borderlands
no borderlands is just garbage there's a slight difference

it's online competitive and cooperative multiplayer, 'mmo' applies to open world multiplayer games like world of warcraft, DC universe, and hello kitty online
what you're saying is like calling battlefield a 'fighting game' because there's shooting in it

Real men fight with their fists. But yeah I get your point on it's categorization.
for those of you who don't want to buy the game, me and jordan will be livestreaming now!
