Title: R.I.P Moebius
Post by: put on March 10, 2012 03:37 PM
Jean "Moebius" Giraud just died of cancer. The best comic book artist to ever live.
You'll be missed.

He was one of the artists who started the Heavy Metal magazine
Here's some of his work: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9120653@N06/sets/72157624366887263/with/4811762086/ (http://www.flickr.com/photos/9120653@N06/sets/72157624366887263/with/4811762086/)
He worked with Alejandro Jorodowsky many times (the guy who directed el topo and the holy mountain) and wrote some of his best work making comics with Moebius.
Read the Incal, one of the best comics ever made IMO.

rip to a talented feller who sure could draw

but as far as franco-belgian comic craftsmen go i still like hergé better as tintin ROX especially his highly offensive congo antics
