Yes we should all know by now that btjunkie.com shut its own doors for good (RIP :plead: ). That is a good move on their part but somewhat not on ours. I found a useful solution to all of the torrents that were removed from BTJ. I found that some were pretty fast and could not be found anywhere else on the net.
How is that possible though? How can you use a site when it is no longer on the web? This is how: I discovered that using Google's 'cached' feature you can do so without any flaw. Google does not store files that it snapshots from sites but torrents can also be transferred via 'magnet link'. This is a link that communicates with a tracker server which sorta manages a torrent on a global bases with your bittorrent client. Every link is unique just like every torrent file. all in all its downloading with out a torrent ;p . (I may be a bit wrong about some of the info but hey, it works.) Here is the step-bt-step with an example of something that one may want to download. (Sorry for the crudeness of this:/ ):
(https://thebackalleys.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thebackalleys.com%2Fdump%2Ffiles%2F1762%2F65w5Z_hot%2520to%2520get%2520torrents%2520from%2520btjunkiecom.jpg&hash=561884304b0ee5bc2ebbc26dfdf261b916d31dec)
NOTE that I started THIS torrent right above the "210.5 kB/s T: 450.4 MB".
I will also try to see if this method could be used with archive.org if Google decides to update its cache servers. As you can tell, Google updated it's snapshot of the site so the cache may be soon to follow. Get em' quick before its too late!
Have a problem? Post it here. Happy torrenting!

211 kbs :p
My point exactly, when I torrent, I usually get like 40 kbs
Its either a dying torrent or your internet. BTJ always had the best selection.

last good version of utorrent was 2.2.1
reasons:
1. utorrent 3.x+ sends bad data to trackers & doesnt ban peers that send bad data
2. because of #1, many trackers are beginning to ban utorrent 3.x
3. it looks like shit
4. too much bloat (premium content, ads, apps, etc)

Ah. Good to know. Thanks once again man.
you know, there's still sites like demonoid (i think), isohunt and thepiratebay so what's all the hub-bub about
i never used btjunkie to begin with. public trackers are usually garbage
idk what happened to demonoid. whenever i seed it never changes my ratio anymore so i just stopped using it.
