How much has thebackalleys community traveled, throughout this massive planet of ours?
I haven't been to as much as the world as I've liked to, but a decent amount in my 18 years. I've lived in the US my whole life, but I've never been to another state besides California. Strictly a NorCal kid, too. I've only been to Southern CA once and only briefly (twice if you count a layover), but down there I've basically passed everything towards the Tijuana border. I've been to the outskirts of LA (the area where UCLA is), West Hollywood, and I've been to parts of Orange County, and I've been to the San Diego area. I've also visited a few beaches in Ventura County (north of LA). Here in Northern CA, I've been to S.F. (of course), Oakland, Richmond, Palo Alto, San Jose, Sacramento (and other nearby cities like Davis), Santa Cruz, Monterey, and others.
I've also been to the international airport in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. And I've been to China. I've been to Shanghai, Beijing, Hefei (a city a five-hour drive west of Shanghai), Suzhou, and I've passed through all the countryside from Shanghai to Beijing by bullet train, so I got to see all the cool countryside. I have some pictures and footage of it somewhere. This was all last summer, and the most remarkable summer ever. Hopefully next year I get to go to China again, and maybe visit Hong Kong and then Osaka and Tokyo, Japan, and Singapore. But I'd like to take a trip to the Philippines. And East Coast United States.

i've been to nearly every state in the US but ive spent most of my time in washington state, visiting california, nevada, florida and virginia and massachusetts the most. guess i've spent a bit of time in idaho and oregon as well, naturally. been to vancouver bc a few times , its very close to where i live. outside of north america i've been to many cities in spain and italy as well as a brief time in switzerland. i'd like to visit japan, south korea and the uk.. not really interested in any other place. maybe hong kong.. but only to see the city.
From Michigan I traveled to Georgia thats about the only trip I have ever been outside of state.
spain (it sucks)
denmark (it sucks almost as much as spain)
germany (it sucks but not as much as denmark)
sweden (it sucks a little less than germany)
want to go to iceland and observe the geysers or some shit, and jan mayen island
maybe australia because it has badass wildlife and can dig up the corpse of steve irwin or some shit but generally i prefer less scorching environments
i don't want to go to russia because everyone there is F*CKING INSANE
Scotland: it was shit don't bother
Wales: it was shit getting there but it was nice
Northern Ireland: Never go here unless you like twats and drunken stabbings
Republic of Ireland: Was very pleasant would go again
France thrice: First 2 times were great in the countryside but third time in paris sucked dicks on ice
Spain twice: Stayed away from touristy areas it was not bad but it wasnt particularly good
Portugal lost count: Thoroughly enjoyed every visit but for the love of sanity dont use their big supermarkets
Gibraltar: Went for a day. The monkeys, caves and mountain fortifications are great too see but that's all they have going for them, leave right away afterwards.
Italy 5 or so times: Varying cities/regions, generally staying in the mid to northern areas is ideal. The few times going south were not fun.
Elba 4 times: One of the better kept secrets of Italy, go here at least once in your life its fantastic. Only downside is the Germans like holidaying here a bit.
Egypt: Fascinating to see some of the history and culture but harrowing too because its gradually being turned into the WORST kind of tourist trap and seeing this side of things sucked major dick.
Jordan: Crossed into there briefly during visit to egypt, no touristy shit but armed checkpoints/patrols made things uncomfortable
Lanzarotti: Volcanos fucked up a lot of the island but the caves and geysers are a hoot.
Switzerland: was very young when i went here so i remember almost nothing but i was physically there IT COUNTS
Would love to see: Netherlands, US, Mongolia, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Vietnam, Germany, liechtenstein, monaco and just anywhere else that seems somewhat cool
spain: i disagree with sin here, i fuckin love spain but i think thats mainly because i hate (most of) england. the weather is great and the people are ridiculously laid back. i've been to a fair few parts of it - lanzarote, ibiza, murcia and majorca. some of the architecture in majorca is fucking amazing especially some of the hotels. i met some graffiti artists in murcia and spraypainted a squid onto the side of some building
austria: i went snowboarding here with some friends when i was 15 and all i really saw were the mountains, but i enjoyed it. there's enough snow and enough sun at the same time that you can snowboard with your t-shirt on. i liked the aesthetics of it though, the wood cabins/snow everywhere as well as the friendly boarder community. the journey there was abysmal though (24 hours!)
USA: florida to be exact. the first time was 2000 and i can't remember much of it, in fact the most notable thing was at epcot they had this huge dreamcast/sega section with a giant sonic bursting through the wall, i remember playing one of the knuckles levels for ten minutes whilst this stupid american kid was on the second controller thinking he was playing it. the second time was 2004 and it was great because the hurricanes were in full force (i love bad weather). i remember taking my awful drawings to disneyworld in the hopes that they would employ me and i got SHOT DOWN by a disney rep who was like UM WE DONT DO THAT HERE (lmao). by the way disneyworld is shit compared to universal studios which is nearby, it has this awesome hulk coaster and an arcade machine with marvel vs capcom 2.
france: only been to paris, and most of it was spent in disneyland. disneyland SUCKS compared to disneyworld. this was a school trip and surprisingly the teachers let us do whatever the fuck we wanted. i ran out of money on like the second day and made my friend shell out for my meals because i was an asshole. they were having some sort of chinese new year theme for the park though, that was pretty cool. also i don't like the majority of french people except the girls. some rude asshole faggot french businessman flicked his cig ash onto one of my friends as we walked past a restaurant, and we kept getting hounded by franco-arabian merch peddlers. no, i don't want to buy a bootleg mini Eiffel tower, fuck off.
i wouldn't mind visiting australia, some parts of the caribbean, india, greenland, brazil and a few other places. my uncle also moved to south africa recently, so i'll hopefully end up travelling there at some point

Same here, Spain, Denmark, Germany (which is where I live), Sweden. I don't like Denmark too much due to everything costing half a fortune, same with Sweden. For a visit they're fine, for living there, it's not.
Regarding Spain, i've been there several times: Mallorca, Gran Canaria, Ibiza - all of them several times and always different locations
I've also been to Greece twice, same with Egypt.
From Ohio, I've been to Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, Washington D.C, New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Georgia, and Florida
I've also been to Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Caymen, and Cozumel, Mexico on a cruise to the Caribbean
I've been to to many places to count, pretty much all over the world give or take. Ironically enough though, I've only been to a few states in the US, even though I live there

i used to live in mesquite, texas, and i spent two years living in york, pennsylvania. now i live in san jose. as far as traveling, i've been to canada and mexico when i was a kid, though i don't remember them very well. i've also been to new york (not new york city, some very rural part of new york), georgia, oklahoma, and maine. i haven't done a lot of sight seeing in the US, but i'd like to. and i'd really like to visit another country
oh yeah i went on some cruise when i was a kid and i think we ended up at the bahamas but i don't even remember like at all

I live in Santa Rosa, about 50 minutes or so north of the Golden Gate. Not a whole lot up here, kinda the more "quiet" part of the Bay Area. The "ghettos" here are well... wannabes.
I was in San Jose last week at my uncle's place in Santa Clara, close to San Jose city limits. The "Koreatown" area/Stevens Creek (all the Korean restaurants and stores). It's pretty awesome.

Within the states I've driven all up and down the east coast multiple times, branching out as far as Iowa, Missouri and Louisiana
By plane I've been to Illinois, California, Colorado and Texas but I don't really count Texas 'cause it was just a hot pitstop in the middle of nowhere
Out of country I've driven to Canada for the week and got on a cruise one summer to Jamaica and the Cayman Islands
While in Canada we got there on Gay Day so there was a bunch of that and a bike rally with quite a few cool designed ones
Toronto's streets were amazingly clean everybody seemed nice and I liked the small structural and cultural differences here and there
Jamaica was super hot when it's not overcast and the only way to cool down is to get in the water, which as soon as we deported from Miami for a half an hour, it got super blue like in cartoons
They have iguanas instead of squirrels and spiders for everything else. Huge. Spiders. Stay away from the trees.
With the islands you can see the other side of it and hurricane season is horrible but the beaches are so nice and aquamarine
I've been to all parts of NV, CA, some cities in TX, New York City, Orlando, FL, Arizona and Mexico. In Mexico I've been to baja california, cozumel, michoacan, guadalajara, cancun, chihuahua, and some parts of zacatecas. I've also been to Hawaii (kuai island) and a tiny remote 5-mile island named "the island of beautiful women" which is just a few hundred miles from Cuba....I should note that island is where people go to just relax on its beaches so it really IS just full of topless beautiful women laying on the coasts haha.
I've gone on a roadtrip with my dad from East pennsylvania to Idaho. Mt. Rushmore was nice. Yellowstone was the greatest.
Ottawa Animation Festival was awesome. One of my favorite cities.
Sacramento at the one comic con was my first plane ride. That was really fun. Armon in a hot tub c:
Other than that New york's my native land, and my hometown in the poconos is really scenic. Erie is a pretty nice area too. cold :s
Haven't traveled much really. Farthest west I've been would be eastern Ohio, furthest east was Boston on a school trip (13 hours in a bus for 4 hours in the city). Furthest south would be Williamsburg, VA probably. I apparently went to Montreal when I was like 1 so that doesn't really count. Yup
Recently went to Jamaica. Awesome place. Also planning on going to Aruba this summer.
