i dunno, someone recommended me the kittie album so i told him i'd download it. i'd never heard them before so i have no idea if they suck or not.
btw gladius i'm sorry to disappoint but i'm not a fan of the dear hunter, YET at least. i'm downloading the record on recommendation, i haven't heard them yet.

they've been good so far. i listened to some others but not very intently yet.
gladius is referring to deerhunter, which is a completely different band than the dear hunter. both are good though.
i dunno why someone recommended you the colour spectrum over the other dear hunter albums (Act 1, Act 2, Act 3), it's by far the weakest of the band's work and is also far too long
its cool to see you've got some flaming lips though. if you like yoshimi and soft bulletin, you should get at war with the mystics and embryonic. this town needs guns is a fantastic band as well

all of these are pretty essential so its pretty great you got em. don caballero, germs, mastodon, and a few others are pretty solid too. i dont agree with your choice of tom waits albums tho, but i assume you have others.

i will see about doing that! is it any good?
yeah it (and my brief stay in philly) was probably worth the 700 total miles of driving. algernon cadwallader and the other bands (had never listened to 1994! and glocca morra before) were awesome and snowing was great, but there were some douches in the crowd that kind of brought down what could have been a better last show :/

i heard the singer from snowing was crying during the last song and the audience all sang the lyrics. sounds really sad, i wish i could've been there. it sounds magical

i think it is. i'm gonna buy it when i get the money. atm i do not have the money
anyone who wants to donate to the taylor fund is welcome
btw my current band is pretty influenced by all of those bands. the guitarist loves snowing and we all like algernon cadwallader a lot, as well as at the drive-in and that stuff. we have more than just punk influences though. we just had a live show recorded and apparently are recording a split and are gonna do an EP soon too, so when we have all of that i'll make a topic.

we all lapse into unintended musical snobbery at times man, c'est la vie
very true
