only ghetto faggots own nintendo DS
so the game is pretty solid, with nice controls, pikmin-esque combat, cool 2D graphical design, and its kirby. honestly its a nice entry to its creative lineage of experimental platforming brethren.
i wish i didn't misplace my nintendo ds ugh
yeah I'd still like to pick this one up sooner or later
the environmental destruction, the flick-n-whip controls, and pretty much every cool thing that the DS could possibly do is explored in it.
best DS game in a while.
yeh

It will be glorious. Kirby on the go, I can't complain about that.

I'm talking about ones for the DS, I'm not gonna carry around my brick game boy, despite how cool I would look with it.
umm there's still some ds titles like canvas curse
this game can't compare to return to dreamland
that will be awesome

Superstar Ultra is where it's at as far as DS games go.
But yeah, what stu said
kirby always struck me as fucking gay and i can only associate the character with shitty newgrounds sprite flashes post a good gameplay video or i will assume every kirby game ever revolves around sucking mario's dick while getting assfucked by sonic (just like in the flash movies)
WTF
^ Mmmyep.

that is sad that newgrounds ruined kirby for you
i guess this is an alright example of gameplay for what most of the 2d ones are like

squeak squad is alright as well but i agree with that being the best for the ds
kirby 64 is still my favourite though which is why i'm so excited for return to dreamland
Yeah the only thing I didn't like about super star ultra that it was basically a bunch of shorter games kind of compacted into one cartridge. That's fine, but not as satisfying as the normal forumla I guess.
yeah that's pretty much exactly how i feel about it as well which is why nightmare in dreamland is my fav 2d one
dat d00d
i like 64, the amazing mirror, and of course the near perfect epic yarn.
and sintron, way to fuck up a good conversation about one of the few creatively enhancing franchises that nintendo has.
I now have a new game I want to get for my DSi, thanks stu. :)
I wish they had released Kirby Gamecube or even Wii
I was all set to get those but Nintendo SUCKS
air ride is pretty good but epic yarn is kind of bleh to me just because it doesn't feel kirby enough. as a game though it's really fun.

any time ;)
I played the shit out of kirby air ride. A few months ago I looked back and saw the reviews just out of curiosity
they were surprisingly low.
But yeah that game wasn't THAT kirby..ish, but it was still fun
Saw Kirby's Air Ride at a local Gamestop for 20 bucks. I would have gotten it, but I say screw Gamestop, they don't deserve my business. So now I'm looking to buy it from an online seller, an owner, not a company.
I don't have a DS but if I get a 3DS someday, I would definitely look into some of the Kirby games like this one. Kirby Super Star is one of my favorite games of all time. I liked the fact it was a bunch of mini-adventures because it added more variety and each story had their own gimmicks and gameplay changes. The Great Cave Offensive, Revenge of Meta Knight, and Milky Way Wishes are so awesome and did a lot of things so differently, but in a very good way.

Kirby's Return to Dreamland has a lot of gameplay similarities to the GCN game that never came out.

Didn't notice until now how similar the theme music is for both games.
cool i might just keep an eye out for it
Great more games that I want to get. Hhhnnnnngg. :plead:
I wish I hadn't lost my copy of Nightmare in Dreamland

hey man fuck you i work there! jk, i get why people hate gamestop because i sort of do too but kirby air ride is still a really awesome game and just because it was at gamestop shouldn't really matter.

It does when the business model isn't really helping the gaming industry. Sure, they have pre-orders and advertise the shit out of latest games, but their used game sales are bulk of their business. It's practically a 100% profit for them and none of that money ever goes back to the publishers/developers (to the best of my knowledge). This results in companies trying to push out newer content more often such as DLCs and sequels and isn't helping to decrease the average cost of developing a game from day one to going gold. As someone who will be a developer one day, that's not something I can agree with.
I don't hate Gamestop either, the local one here has some great customer service and is really friendly. I almost feel bad when they ask me if I want to reserve a game (that's usually on Xbox or PS3), and I gotta say
nope because I only own the Wii and older consoles, lol. I understand since I work retail too.
So yeah, Kirby's Air Ride is a definite buy.
the used thing bothers the hell out of me as well. i always buy new just because i like what i buy being unused as well as supporting devs/artists. however there are times where people will trade something older and more rare in that will be an immediate want and usually be really cheap.
