so i went to see this movie recently and i thought it was really awesome and tbh i think the reason why i enjoyed it so much was because i had never really heard about it or had preconceptions before going to see it. So i think the less you know about it, the more youll enjoy it. Its very well written and the cinematography is fantastic. Its basically about a group of kids who are making a zombie movie. I think if youve ever tried to make a home movie you will easily identify with these characters and probably even find awful coincidences with yourself about how to make shitty home movies

HOWEVER the movie misleads you into thinking thats all there is to it.

its difficult for me to convince you about watching this movie without spoiling anything, which actually shows how nicelly constructed the movie is. so procede with caution: [spoiler]at its core, its a "monster" movie. but all the stuff that surrounds this subject is really nicelly put together[/spoiler], and as far as I remember nothing in it feels cliched or forced.

Also this movie has one of the most awesome easter eggs ive seen in a long time.[spoiler] Do stay a lil bit during the credits.[/spoiler]

Saw it a few weeks ago, it was pretty entertaining but the ending was kinda pointless & corny

also the alien design is fucking sick

It's not a superhero movie. Also I loved this movie. Late 70s, kids running around like the Goonies and aliens. Also stay after the credits if you go to see it. The only thing I knew about this movie walking into is there was an alien, but only because it's a JJ Abrams movie so I just expected it.

Edit: I also wouldn't really say it's highly original.

It was probably the most decent thing from Hollywood in years, but nothing too great imho (yeah i know, it seems no movie pleases me completely nowadays and i just look like a basher). Had some cool tidbits, but the corny parts made my head spin around.

I also don't understand why people seem to compare this to the goonies, which is different in both style and atmosphere.
