its been a while since people have been asking themselves "so whats pixar going to do next" (monsters prequel doesnt count)? i heard they had this movie on the works but i didnt remember anything about it until now.
look
Is it just me or something about this trailer and the narrators voice feels a lot like "how to train your dragon"?
still it looks pretty enough and im a sucker for badass 3d enviroments. what are your thoughts?
it's the accents that remind you of it obviously
not really enough information in the trailer for me to have any thoughts about it. looks pretty though
i hate the shitty featureless round-headed faggot characters they put in all 3D movies
i dont mind the minimalism in design i just wish they didn't have to do extreme realistic rendering on top of it
i was expecting some sort of lame joke to stop the trailer from taking itself too seriously like all 3D CG movies
They want to make it more serious and darker than any other Pixar movie until now.
They're also using the same tech used to make Tangled so it looks fantastic.
I have high hopes for this movie.
It looks very pretty and if it's more serious and dark in story as they allude, then I'll probably like it. Hopefully with more trailers I can judge. Although just on the side, I'm not that fond of the girl's face. It's so bulbous and almost lacks any facial contours like eye socket depth, lids, or even a nose (it just blends in like a bump)....it's like a cabbage patch doll and I hope the supporting characters are more interesting looking.
Edit: Just for added effect about what I'm saying lol

(opinion) Pixar needs to make a PG-13 movie with some real action blended with there 3D animating and mastering skills. Well I will have to see how this goes and leave it there. Preview dosnt look too shabby though..
Some other character concepts they've released

That guy is named Lord MacIntosh, subtle pixar.
not too shabby..
lostman pixar makes family entertainment they arent going to make anything above pg range because they would alienate the majority of their audience
and furthermore judging quality by those sort of ratings is moronic

i really like the fat guy. i know the others are kind of hard to see, but the fat guy has that sleeping beauty style to him.
My only concern is that last I heard its the first Pixar movie not being directed by the three "founders" (John Lasseter, Brad Bird, and other guy I can't remember)
Yeah because after cars 2 John Lasseter proved being flawless, I'm gonna wait and see until I judge this new guy.
pixar should make gritty movies with black and white and brown that would be the good movies

Yeah that will never happen. Even if Pixar wanted to, it would never happen. Not in this country.
