ive seen the original and while i dont think it is as bad as a lot of people make it out to be i probably never would watch it again.
and mmmmmm im not really interested in seeing the sequel but i was curious about it after reading this
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/cars_2/ (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/cars_2/)
is it really as shitty as these guys say it is? or are they just giving it shit cause its pixar and its "full of dissapoint" bullshit etc
so yeah if any of you actually go see it discuss
it's probably disappointing for pixar standards, plus you don't have much to work with - cars and larry the cable guy. i'm not interested
never peeped cars when it came out, i wasnt interested and i doubt ill check this out either
another happy-go-lucky pixar 3D adventure with a happy ending. not worth seeing..
Quote from: ThomasKanother happy-go-lucky pixar 3D adventure with a happy ending. not worth seeing..
wow
cars sucked
hated the characters, ugly designs and unappealing
from what i've seen, cars 2 is retarded
i'll still watch it so i can say for sure whether it is shit or not
i don't have anything against the original cars. obviously still the worst of pixar's movies, but this one'll almost certainly nab that spot
will probably be a rental for me
^ basically

Quote from: ThomasKanother happy-go-lucky pixar 3D adventure with a happy ending. not worth seeing..
because pixar has the worst track record
"lostmanfishwhatthefuckever your gay" - everybody 2011

stop trying to say what you think we want to hear to be "included"
As for what you've said:
1. it's a "kids" movie
2. Hollywood scriptwriting = joseph campbell + writer's journey + the general expectation of americans wanting to be joyfully entertained
in short: life is shit, time to go to wonderland
Quote from: DrRumacknever watched up obviously
probably, or he's just plain ignorant
As for the movie: not interested, saw the first one and even tho it wasn't that horrendous, it's not exactly what I'd call entertaining. Watchable for one time and highly forgettable. I also don't give a rats ass about cars.
Cars has been the most marketable movie for pixar, they made like 2 billion dollars off of merchandise or something like that. Ya know, I don't mind them doing a bad film once in a while if it helps fund movies that look good like brave.
I'm more worried about the monsters inc. sequel/prequel whatever it is.
Quote from: putI'm more worried about the monsters inc. sequel/prequel whatever it is.
true
we can "hope" it's good all we want, but imo they still shouldn't have started on this prequel. monsters, inc. had a pretty much perfect ending.
i think it would be funny if they did a sequel where laughs were becoming much harder to get so they have to resort to screams again and that still barely makes bank so sully essentially turns into that asshole boss from the first movie and hates himself for it
Pixar's Monsters University
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn't always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn't stand each other. "Monsters University" unlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.
Sounds like shit
Monsters Inc. should have been left alone. If any movie should have gotten a sequel, it should have been The Incredibles.
I can't wait for Brave. Those who see Cars 2 will get a teaser trailer for the movie

Tbh as much as i would love for 'The Incredibles' to have a sequal, the incredibles is a brilliant and tight movie left on its own and id rather pixar stopped trying to do sequals altogether as good as most of them have been and just kept up with making original films.

so did anyone actually see this to confirm it is indeed shit
I just watched it, it really wasn't that bad but wasn't anywhere near good.
The animation was really good as always, I dunno it was just boring, it just didn't keep me entretained and the plot was just boring.
I guess if you like cars or are a little kid you would enjoy it more.
it was a money maker movie..
Quote from: ThomasKit was a money maker movie..
that's one of the main reasons people make films

one time i used a meme from 2006 it was pretty 'lols'
LAWL XD
Ok so
I've been hearing something about a torture scene in this movie where a car gets bits of it taken off by force from the bad guys and is then blown up when not found useful anymore. Mothers have been complaining that it traumatized their kids and they're pretty furious about it.
Can anyone clear this up for me please?
dead
No shit. Really??
