this game is extremely fun, visually appealing and free. if you want to get really ahead in the game you generally have to either deal with the day-to-day process or put money into it, but it's still probably one of the best MMO/hacknslash games i've ever played. check it out here (http://store.steampowered.com/app/99900/?snr=1_4_4__13)

pros:
- very pretty; attractive graphics, cute characters and awesome npcs
- has that sort of "party raid" feel to it, where you can get in a group and jump into an elevator and go fuck shit up in a dungeon whenever you want
- has guilds
- killing everything feels really crunchy and enjoyable
- conceptually simple with no boring dumb sidequests or overcomplicated system
- once you're on the proper alchemic path (http://wiki.spiralknights.com/List_of_alchemy_paths), given the items you're using, pretty much everything you can do in the game is constructive
- very non-grindy with tons of items and miscellaneous cool shit to quest for
cons:
- everything in the game pretty much runs on energy (http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Energy), which is kind of a dick in every players collective shoe because you can only get about 100 units of non-stackable energy every 24 hours. in order to exceed this painfully small (as every level takes about 10 energy from you) limit, you can purchase energy for actual money, or do the day to day grind and spend about an entire quests' worth of in-game currency to buy a measly additional 100 units.
- there is no upgrade to the in-game mist tank, which is used to store the 100 energy you get on a day-to-day basis. i think if it was upgradeable to store more than 100 per day, that would be really useful and badass
yo im a big fan of games that have knights in it (no bs)
this game looks good ill definatly try and get this
I really hate micro transactions in games. Tried it today wasn't too bad but I notice that some of the recipe crap requires crystal energy(which I believe costs money) and I guess people can sell those for crowns(the games currency) so its probably not too bad for people who refuse to pay to find enough in game stuff to trade for in game time and I guess it also beats gold farmers hacking accounts for fake currency in return for real money.
Looks alright haven't really seen a whole lot or what kind of cool things are in it. But it does just seem like a collection game so far and doubt I will get too in to it.

this is the only thing stopping me from playing. I like it a lot but this is too much of a con for me to play.
Getting tier 2 weapons costs half of your day's potential playing. i dont see sense in that
well if you could just get top tier weaponry instantly without coughing up some cash, the game would be ridiculously easy and you could be overpowered very fast like in terraria. a few days of playing that and it already sort of loses its charm because nothing's super limitless and you can have the best armor in the game in a few days.
tier 2 armor, though, doesn't cost half of your day's potential playing. everything tier 2 is fairly inexpensive.
but yes i can see why energy would be a turnoff. it doesn't allow you the same grindability as other mmo's, which to some works out well, and to others, makes it a less attractive investment of time.
yeah I'll play it if I can do it with some friends once in a while as the game mechanic wont allow grinding. I can see reasons why theyd do that but it sorta turns me off of it. If I like a good game I like to play a lot of it.
i'd like to play this game but they decided to make it have issues with my specific make and model of
wireless
router
huehuehuehuehue
aww, that sucks. what kind of router is it
i heard it's basically any model of wrt54g
what rtil said
I have that router but I can play it
though I'm wired to the router and not using wireless
play champions online instead it's the same kind of f2p crap but no time limites and you can make cool characters
champions sucks because you can't have a wide variety of skills like when it was pay to play you have to pick a skill set and pay for the cool ones
spiral knights also sucks because LOL ENERGY
also

have you ever tried crafting in this game or what
it's a grind to get materials and it costs AT LEAST 50 fucking energy to make ANYTHING
highest energy cost ive seen to craft was a whopping 800

i made a minor starting guide for anyone who wants to play this btw:
here are all the weapons i recommend people start with if any of you start playing in order to keep your game constructive and give you something to strive for and not hit any dead ends with wasted money. 2STAR items on this list are preferable, as they are much cheaper and easier to alchemize.
Swords
**Calibur - Standard 3 hit-combo sword with a knockback combo finisher and an AOE charge attack
**Brandish - More varied alternative to the Calibur. Same stats all-around, but different attacks
**Cutter - The speedy sword with 5 attacks in a combo instead of 3
**Flourish - A saber-style weapon that operates like fencing, with thrusting and jabbing movements
**Snarble Barb - Special boss weapon with medium speed and piercing power
***Sealed Sword - Evil high-tier bastard sword. Not as recommended
(these ones only go up to 4STAR, which can still get you into tier 3 levels)
**Troika - "Standard" bastard sword, pretty much only prevalent in strength
**Spur - A blunt axe-like weapon that shoots projectiles on charge
Guns
**Blaster - Standard handgun that works similarly to the Calibur, only in gun form
**Autogun - The game's automatic firearm, with two very distinctly different upgrades
**Alchemer - A basic elemental weapon that comes in five varieties
***Antigua - The game's revolver pistol, allowing six controlled shots
*** Magnus - The shotgun of spiral knights, allowing two powerful shots that can Stun
Defense
**Cobalt
**Jelly
**Magic
**Skelly
**Spiral Demo
**Spiral Plates
**Wolver
***Angelic
***Chroma
***Drake Scale
***Gunslinger
i also recommend taking a look at the 5STAR stuff on the wiki (http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Main_Page) to see what you want in the end and how the items you get early can be turned into them later
there are also bombs but i haven't tried those out yet!
DO NOT CRAFT AN AUTOGUN it forces you to stay still while moving and isn't worth it
Quote from: Taokakait forces you to stay still while moving
what
while shooting
Quote from: systechi'd like to play this game but they decided to make it have issues with my specific make and model of
wireless
router
so they patched this issue recently and i can play now
anddd i'm not quite sure what to do now
its a shitty game just click around until something happens
I like it, they got my 5 bucks so I could craft shit
fun game
me and spite kicked the shit out of tier 1 and half of tier 2 this man saved my life
an acquaintance of mine asks me to download this almost every day.
I still have not done it.
this game turned into bomberman quick.
"please add pvp"
"ok"
*adds bomberman*
"there you go lol"

I'd be OK with this if the hitboxes and lag werent so bad.
* place bomb
* run from bomb
* 4 feet away suddenly teleport back into the bomb
* vibrate inside bomb since you are trapped in its hitbox
"YOU HAD A DEATH WISH LOL ENEMY TEAM GETS 10 POINTS"
