I'm pretty excited. I believe it's safe to say that this game is #1 on my list of games to play this year.

seriously tho these games are even dumber than motherfucking duke nukem. even if they fix the gameplay this time around the story, atmosphere and characters are so braindead that it would hurt me to play the game
you kind of have a point, it's a little 'dumb' in some aspects
the duke games make as much fun of themselves as they make of everything else
this is more based around surreal landscapes and in some ways it's too 'wannabe hardcore'
at the same time though, that won't really stop it from being a nice game if they don't pull dicks

yeah but the puking blood, stabbing, iNzAnE faces and such are too 'cool' and end up as being kind of lame, which i believe is what flash is referring too
i liked the trailers showing gameplay but not the ones with the cinematic stuff because it's a little too extreme, more than in alice 1
I think it's supposed to represent how bad Alice's relapse is due to the stress of moving to a different environment and how her time in an asylum with several therapy sessions over her traumatic past and suicide attempt obviously didn't help her at all. She seems to be a lot more unstable than she was in the first installment. Remember, Wonderland is a place she made in her mind to escape to...everything that she thinks and feels warps her imagination. Remember any moment you've had when you were depressed and the kind of dark images that entered your mind, whether it was conscious or subconscious. All of this creepy shit is what's going on in Alice's head as she falls deeper into the pit of insanity. Keep in mind that each of the characters in Wonderland represent someone she knows in the real world...and also that whatever the player makes Alice do may also control what she does in her real time (there seems to be hints of it scattered in the latest trailer). I'll admit though...it goes over the top too quickly...much more than we can handle...but I'm still very excited for this game.
Also I guess it's supposed to be more psychological/gore horror but it gets a little bit silly.
i dunno man when i played alice about a year ago it wasn't as HARDKORE as i thought it would be. it was kind of restrained to be honest. i was pretty impressed.
It seems like it's going to be more intense and psychological in the sequel.

There's a rumor that the first Alice will be packaged with the sequel. Haven't heard any more about it, but if it's true, it will most likely be in a limited edition release.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do some form of bundle either way. If they do I may finally decide to check this series out though..
I really liked the first one but I'm not as excitied about this 2nd one...It might be the lack of great music that gave the cutscenes and levels a lot of atmosphere. I'll probably still get it though and I hope they actually used the cat in other ways besides a help guide. He's such a neat character and they dont do anything with him!
He seems a bit more sinister in this one...his line "Now it's time to put your blade to work" in the latest trailer sends chills down my spine. Perhaps there's more to him than meets the eye?

This new trailer makes me more interested in it now...the music is still off I think but there seems to be a connection now between her "wonderland" and the real world hmmm that could be interesting.
The plot seems to be thickening with all the latest trailers and interviews. [spoiler]I just wonder if there'll be moments where we search through Alice's past in the asylum. It does seem to strongly hint that Alice's actions in Wonderland are also happening in reality...and that Alice must have been involved with the death of her parents (thus disproving the fire accident caused by her cat). If true, I hope the game explains why Alice is this way.[/spoiler] I'm not quite sure if the sequence with the baby doll head rolling through a board game stage is supposed to be a mini game or a similar stage to that of the chess level in the first game. OK IT'S A MINI GAME. Also, is it just me or did Alice's facial features go through a major makeover?
Eh, I honestly can't complain about their choice of music for the trailer. Odd that they stuck with the Sherlock Holmes soundtrack. Inception soundtrack anyone?
