Title: Hudson Entertainment is closing and H. Soft will focus on social games.

Well, this ruined my da-, no we-, no month. :/ Depressing as hell news. On a brighter note, Bomberman 3DS is a Hudson Soft game so it's probably not canceled. The bad news? Now that Hudson Entertainment is gone, who knows if it's going to release in the U.S. This also calls for a fuck you to Nintendo for putting region locks in the 3DS. Truly a shitty day in gaming.

In general, Hudson is definitely lacking quality games. The main reason I was so upset about this announcement is because Hudson Entertainment was responsible for English versions of Hudson Soft games so I'm now worried we'll be getting less games from Hudson Soft in America. That, and the news that Hudson Soft will focus on social games flat out stinks.

The DSi and DSi XL are region locked so I doubt DS games are not region locked, but I'm not 100% sure.

i am 100% sure that the classic DS games are not region locked on the DS, DS lite, DSi, DSi XL, and 3DS

Yes, same company but the Japanese division will still be around who are the people that made those games. Hudson Soft really sucks at innovating. >_> They often get a great idea and then do the same shit for a countless amount of sequels with some changes.

I can. They shut Hudson Entertainment, canceled a few of the games I was interested in, and will probably turn HudsonSoft into a company like Zynga. Konami will have to do a lot to make up for this.

I was probably looking forward to Bomberman 3DS more than any other non-remake coming to the handheld.

It's weird though, I don't think IGN was the only site to report that all those Hudson games were getting cancelled. I think Konami was unclear with their press release or something.

Doesn't matter though, good news is good news.

The article I linked showed that a lot of websites claimed all of Hudson's games are canceled due to an assumption, not a fact. IGN should have checked their facts and sources better before claiming all of Hudson's games in development are canned. It still shows Bomberman 3DS has been canceled on the IGN page. That's why I referred to IGN as stupid.
