I finally got my wish of owning my own place to swim, but I think its a bit too much.

This was all just 10 minutes ago and it's still rising, I'm surprised I still have power though all the cables are underground. Apparently it will be raining all night and my carpet is already wet from the water rising from underneath the house.

yeah, my house is at the bottom of a few hills so I get all the run off. This very rarely happens only once every 50 years or something crazy and that's because of the cyclone that hit Queensland is affecting the weather patterns or something.

all that was ruined was the garden, stuff in the shed (lawnmower, old tools, etc) and the heating system. Was very very close to getting inside though another 5cm and the house would have been soaked. I heard it was worse in other parts though, so I'm grateful for it to have not gotten so bad.

Queensland still needs support though, they have been hit the worst.
